I agree. I'm far from a Cowboys fan. Can't stand them, but they had that three year stretch in the 90's with one of the best offensive lines I've ever seen with a solid TE in Novacek, an athletic receiver in Harper, the best fullback in the league for a few years in Johnston, and the big three of Aikman, Smith, and Irvin. And, Buffalo should have a team on this list!

So can everyone else, but I'm glad you have joined the fray of other arm-chair GM's on this board. Here's to a great posting future to you!

Amen! One of the most honest and true responses posted on this board the past 3 months. If there was a way to eliminate or lessen the amount of posters in the #2 category, then what a great day that would be. Thanks for reminding all posters, including myself, to literally step up our "posting commentary" a bit. Amen! Couldn't say it better than myself. If you broke down attribute by attribute of what makes a good football player...Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver of all-time without a question. Fastest? No. Strongest? No. Best leaping ability? No. Best Blocker? No. Tallest or most athletically-gifted? No. But, Jerry Rice out-worked, out-classed, out-studied, out-thought and always played outSTANDING when it mattered most--the Playoffs and in Super Bowls. Simple answer for a simple question. It's about making money! The NFL is first and foremost and always will be a business. Business is never about equality. Think of your job or your high school days. Was there or is there equality in these experiences? No. There really are only about 7-8 cities that truly provide the business environment needed to generate the Super Bowl which is more a week long cultural event to promote a city and tourism than it is a football game. Yes...weather is a major factor as well. This is why cities like Los Angeles and Orlando will always be under consideration. And, this is why large or popular cities such as Chicago, New York City, Seattle, Dallas, or New Orleans will also receive consideration. Unfortunately, the city of Buffalo isn't one of the cities that can provide such an atmosphere; therefore, the Super Bowl will never be held in Buffalo for at least the next 25 years. There is no such thing as equality in life. There is also no such thing as equality in what city hosts the Super Bowl.

I know it is already an area of strength, but the Bills should go after Boldin. It may only cost a second round pick as has been discussed on this board already. The truth is...Owens is gone after this season. We don't know anything about Steve Johnson or James Hardy. Reed is a nice #3 and Parrish will never been more than an occasional option in 4 WR sets. Boldin is young. Boldin is talented. Boldin is a top 5 wide receiver in this league. Boldin's style is opposite of Evans; therefore, his play is complementary to Evans and to the offense. He is the best player available and a difference maker. There is not another player being discussed in free agency or the trade market with as much value as Boldin. Does he fit a top 3 need for our team? No, but he does fit a future need after Owens leaves, and if a special player in the league is available, you go after them.

In short, Buffalo should've won one Super Bowl, had the talent and ability to win two, they were outplayed in three, and lost all four. The Bills were the better team against the Giants and should've won. The Bills had more talent than the Redskins but were outplayed as a team. As much as I dislike the Cowboys of the 90's, those two Super Bowl teams were two of the best Super Bowl winning teams in the last 25 years. Buffalo was great, but it wasn't in the class of those Cowboys teams. No, Buffalo wouldn't have won all four even if they won the first one against the Giants. Yes, I love the Bills. No, I'm not unrealistic to say Buffalo or any team could win four Super Bowls in a row, especially with today's free agency and the uncertainty of injuries.

59 Years old. I understand that football isn't supposed to be an "All Saints", "Choir Boy" league. Yet at the same time, just the fact that McIntyre is outside the home of a 59 year old woman's home taking care of his special time and then leaving on a bicycle tells you a lot about his character and ability to think. McIntyre, what were you thinking? If you are going to take care of business, then visit a Jills cheerleader's place, not a 59 year old woman's home. Time to let McIntyre go. We already knew he couldn't block. Now, we know also know he has his hands in the wrong place.

Like your thoughts. It is not as though these guys are going to cost a lot and it wouldn't hurt to take a 1-2 year flier on any of these guys, especially with our lack of depth at these positions. The only point I sadly can not agree with you is what you said in bold. Let's get excited about the potentiality of being a playoff team before we go from AFC East bottom dwellers to Super Bowl favorites.

Chris Berman (he's legendary and you can tell he has a lot of fun when he's doing games) Colin Cowherd/Eric Casillas (morning radio hosts; they are controversial, state opinions, got some smarts too) Shannon Sharpe/Warren Sapp/Michael Irvin (former stud players, have edge to them, racial diversity is good even though it isn't politically correct to say this, and most importantly they are knowledge and draw fan interest like Charles Barkley for basketball) Keith Jackson (always loved him opposite of Berman as far as perspective and personality A combination of these four includes hall of fame broadcasting, former players, racial diversity, age difference, obviously Jackson and Berman bring the old school with Cowherd/Casillas or Sharpe/Sapp/Irvin bringing the new school. They are all smart and their is energy when they broadcast. NO TO Dan Patrick and Tony Kornheiser. No to former comedians.

The most obviously dumb post of the past month deserves a simple and even more obvious response. Owens is using this year as his "good behavior" year to earn a contract with a championship contender next year. Owens despite whatever he may say or do on the field this year has no long-term interest of being a member of the Bills. Sorry! That's a fact. Owens is only interested in himself, his stats and in playing for a major media market that fawns all over him. It is for this reason and many other obvious reasons Owens is only on a one year contract. Owens can't be good long-term because his behavior won't allow it. He won't understand and respect Buffalo as a team because he has proven three (3) times in San Francisco, Philadelphia, and in Dallas that his only concerns are calling his quarterback gay in San Francisco, throwing his quarterback under the bus in Philadelphia, and popping pills and throwing a temper tantrum that his quarterback in Dallas doesn't throw him the ball enough when he drops too many passes any way. Of course, Buffalo will be better this year on offense because of Owens unique skill-set and playmaking ability. But Owens is just a hired gun for a year while Buffalo finds out if Hardy or Johnson can become a #2 receiver. If they can, then great for Buffalo. If they can't, Owens will leave Buffalo and a 2nd or 3rd round pick on a receiver in the 2010 draft. Owens will be nothing more than a talented receiver who is putting in time for free agency next year. The only "Savior" role Owens will play is he will make Buffalo a relevant football team for the media circus. He will help sell extra tickets and a lot of jerseys because his is an exciting/controversial topic. (Think Alex Rodriguez, Dennis Rodman, Mike Tyson, etc.) Otherwise, let's leave the Savior role to the actual Savior found in the New Testament. Ralph Wilson will be happy and Buffalo fans will be treated to a more exciting team that will finish no better than 8-8 barring some major injury to a key player on one of Buffalo's AFC East opponents. Maybin © At least Buffalo picked a position of need. Maybin was picked too hight. Too one dimensional. Not worth the 11th pick. Not a lot of starting experience. Disappears in big games. He might start because Kelsay and Denney aren't any good. Expect 2-3 sacks at the most. Orakpo, Cushing, Oher, or Pettigrew were better choices at #11 and one of them should've been the pick. Wood © A "high motor" good character guy named Eric Wood is what we got for traded head-case but talented Peters? Wood will be a serviceable center in the league. He won't be great or even good. He'll be a little bit above okay. Think of Chris Kelsay. You can't get rid of the guy because he doesn't cause problems. But, you can't get rid of the guy either because he isn't bad enough to be cut but not good enough to be more than a temporary place holder on your roster. Is he better than Fowler or Preston? Yes. Was he worth a 1st round pick? Not at all. Buffalo could've traded back and got some more value out of this pick. The pick should've been Unger. Byrd (F) Great, a DB without a position. He doesn't play corner or safety. He wasn't even the best player on his own college team's defense backfield. Byrd will play sparingly as a nickel/dime/situational/box/non-box/goal line free/slot/strong safety on our team. In other words, he will be a very small upgrade over one of our other players. Would he be worth one of our 4th round picks? Absolutely. Too think we could have had the versatility of someone like Barwin, Sintim, or Kruger on defense or have really bolstered our line with Max Unger, a versatile o-lineman with experience at all line positions. Barwin or Sintim should've been the pick, or Eric Wood who would've been available at this spot. How I hate BUFFALO's Management!!! Overall. Buffalo gets a D so far in their draft.

Yes. Pettigrew is talented. He will fill the void created by Terrell Owens leaving at the end of this season and gives Trent "dump the ball off" Edwards a safety valve. I don't mind having Pettigrew at all. With that said, it only makes sense to invest the #28 pick on a top level player who can make a difference for Trent to get the ball to his skill position players. If we do pick up Pettigrew at #11, then we best consider getting two offensive lineman with our #28 pick and with either our 2nd/3rd round pick. I would be happy with the following: #11 Pettigrew #28 Mack #42 Best DE Available Round #3 Best OT/Guard Available

I agree that a 2nd round pick is probably the best investment. Really, the success of a football team is how you do in rounds 2-4. The only thing I didn't like about the post....Chris Kelsay was listed as a HIT! Sure, he is a starter, but he's not a top 50 DE in the league. I can't call a guy picked on day one a HIT if he isn't top 50 at his position in the league.

We now have one of the top 5 worst offensive lines and defensive lines in football, so tight end, linebacker, and safety are out for the first two rounds of the draft. We don't have to speculate whether the Bills will draft Brandon Pettigrew, Brian Cushing, or Malcolm Jenkins. Yeah!!! Buffalo has 4-5 major holes now to fill on the both sides of the line. In a twisted sort of way, I'm happy. Now, anyone that makes any post or speculation on why the Bills should draft a linebacker or tight end better have a compelling reason. Also, played pickup games in the backyard of a good friend that started a game in the NFL at quarterback for the Carolina Panters. (Randy Fasani) Has excellent ability to read plays. Nightcrawler once held his best friend to 7 points in Tecmo Bowl by only allowing video game-generated Bo Jackson to score one touchdown. Commanding the N.Y. Giants defense, Nightcrawler directed Lawrence Taylor to block the only extra point of the game and literally shut down Jackson's elite speed on the Tecmo field. Good character guy. CON Having only played at the collegiate intramural flag football level, Nightcrawler does not have experience playing in any offensive or defensive scheme. Much like James Hardy, Nightcrawler has no route running experience. Although he believes he would score high on the Wonderlic exam, Nightcrawler is probably like Ryan Fitzpatrick, smart but not able to make the transition to the actual field. Generously listed at 165 lbs and 5'9, Nightcrawler's tackling ability has been compared to other smash mouth tacklers such as Deion Sanders. Although born in New York, Nightcrawler grew up in Northern California. He's played in only one pickup game in temperatures below 50 degrees. His lack of cold weather playing experience would make it tough for him to transition to Buffalo's weather. SUMMARY Nightcrawler is more than a project. He's elite speed will warrant him consideration for running and getting cups of water to other players on the team. His positive attitude and willingness to give his best effort may give him a shot of finding his niche on special teams when Buffalo is down by 4 touchdowns or more in the final quarter. A paperweight, Nightcrawler could benefit from being in any weight room. PROJECTION No invitation for special teams. Positive attitude warrants a position as 3rd string water boy with 2nd string upside potential.

Dear Commissioner, Three reasons why an NFL team should remain in Buffalo #1. Buffalo is one of the original football teams. It's history of 50 years reminds of us the early beginnings of our sport. #2. Buffalo has some of the most loyal fans in the world. Games are constantly sold out. #3. Without players on the Bills such as Marshawn Lynch, Donte Whitner, Ko Simpson, etc., you have increased job security overseeing/babysitting players in the league. Buffalo plays a large part in that job security! Keep the Bills in Buffalo with a bailout. I'm sure you can ask for government help. Every other company is!

I actually liked some of your ideas, then you said to trade Parrish for a 3rd! We'd be robbing the bank from a team if we got a 6th round choice for him. There are probably only 3-4 players on our team we could get a Round 3 or higher pick from another team. And, Parrish isn't close to one of them.

I say we go for it.

I'm not sold on Jared Cook. Like others who made comments, I believe a C/G in round #2 is more important if we really did go with a linebacker in Round 1. I have no problem with Cushing at #17 or #11. He would fit our defense well, but I think Freddy Keiaho, the free agent who visited Bills camp would be a solid addition in free agency. I'm not sure if these discussions are done, or if Buffalo is waiting closer to the draft in hopes of getting Keiaho on the cheap. Mitch King will be a talented player and a solid pickup in a 3rd round, but I'd still rather get OL/DL with the 1st two picks.

"all I am going to say that this kid will be one of the greatest players"...[ever to play college.] I respect the fact that you did play with one of the best college football players we have seen in the last twenty years. That's awesome! But, before you leave your wife/girlfriend for your man crush, please realize three (3) things: 1) Tebow has a lot to learn about the quarterback position in the NFL. Let alone being an all-time great. 2) He'll probably play for a great team as a backup for most of his career. 3) As has been stated, the guy has one more year of college. Let him enjoy the college experience and we'll wait and see. After all, Ryan Leaf, Tommie Frazier, Ken Dorsey, and Chris Weinke were all the greatest players ever in the NFL too.
