Can't say I'm with you on that call. Offense looked pretty bad and especially the passing game. I'm leaning towards the play calling being the problem but Allen missed a few (he was getting hurried) and there were a number of drops. All in all the defense looked fine, the offense looked off most of the day and the special teams ultimately lost the game. The refs had a few close possibly bad calls but I certainly wouldn't say they decided anything.
I agree with most of this. I don't think they played great. It's my position that they played better than the Steelers.

Did you actually watch the game, or just look at a stat sheet?
What person on here didn't watch the game? Of course I did. Are you blind? If your eyes work you would have noticed the Bills looked better on offense and defense and penalties are what determined the winner.

And seemingly held them on every play!!!
Watch the game again. The Steelers held a lot too. It never got called.

Fully deserved the L.
Why? The Bills were the better team. More yards. More 1st downs. More time of possession. Sometimes the better team loses.

I was saying that before he got the contract. I was saying that midseason last year when the talk about it started. I always wanted to make sure it was more than a flash in the pan year. Which, we don't know yet, this one game isn't going to define that at all.
Fair enough, but today doesn't automatically make the contract a mistake.

This game is exactly why I wouldn't have given Allen the big contract until after this season. I needed to see him reproduce last year again before I committed long term, no matter the cost.
Here come the overreacting.

Wallace should not be starting
His coverage has been really good. A bad call by the ref and a tipped ball TD reception doesn't mean he has played poorly.

Seven Super Bowl championships say otherwise. I doubt we ever see this again. As a Bills fan I don't like the guy obviously but he is the GOAT.
It's a team sport and Mahomes can't have 7 wins when he has only played 3 seasons. He's playing at a higher level than Brady in his prime.

Brady is the best to ever play the game hands down no debate. Not even close.
Mahomes is better. You can take Brady's best 3 years and compare them to Mahomes only 3 seasons and Mahomes comes up on top. He has been to the AFC championship game every year he has been the starter. Brady is likely the 2nd best QB in my lifetime (I was born in 77). Kelly was great, but further down the list.

I hope this crap doesn't happen during the season.
It will.

You mean roster 2 RBs and a special teams player. Boy I hope we have no injuries this season.
You can make roster moves after the 53 is determined. We have so many talented players at other positions and don't run the ball that much.
-
Just roster 3 RBs. Singletary, Moss, and Jones.

Lesnar didn't play football for a decade... Got hit by a van after the combine and STILL made the Vikings practice squad
They wanted him to play in NFL Europe and he said no way
He was definitely way closer to making it than people think
He went to Training camp with a broken jaw and lower body injuries and made the PS
Stevenson is a better arhlete than Lesner. I think it's an experiment worth trying.
-
Nice roster! Isn't Jones a lock at RB as a special teams standout?

The existing stadium is fine. Why waste the cash?

And if Etienne does end up being a Christian McCafferry talent, do you pay a RB $16M/yr when it comes to their second contract?
I want the Bills to win the Super Bowl. If he helped us win one I'd be fine with letting him walk in 4-5 seasons.

Long term I'm worried about both. This season I'm not too concerned.

My understanding is that Brown has a ways to go in his development, so I think we're looking at a move like this in 2022 at the earliest
Some draft analysts think he's green while others think if he gets an opportunity to start he isn't leaving the field. Time will tell. Sometimes players from lesser known universities are labeled green. Sometimes they aren't though.
-
Allen is better than Mayfield so I believe the Bills will be better than Cleveland next season.

He's not superstitious. He's just a little stitious.

On paper I think the Browns have surpassed the Bills. But there's a reason they play the games. GO Bills!!!
I think their 53 might be a little better but the Bills QB is better and that means a lot.

Yep. What are your thoughts on the White interception that got called back? I didn't see holding. That was a huge mistake by Big Ben. They got a field goal and we lost points.
