Speed alone does not get it done. Marquise Goodwin had one of the NFL’s fastest 40 times but his durability was questionable during his Buffalo Bills time. As Beane said in his press conference, “track stars are not necessarily football players.”

Tyreek Hill is a matchup challenge but it is not due to speed alone.

Also remember that the Bills have Marquez Stevens 100 percentile three cone drill on the roster. He does not have the 40 of Tyreek  but he has speed and shiftiness that is combined considered other worldly.

You have to wonder if the Bills have on their roster already or will identify a matchup nightmare in this year’s draft.

Wasn't Goodwin really good in San Fran?  That being said, speed doesn’t always make a player good.

It’s just not worth talking about specific free agents until March.  So many will be re-signed, especially the top ones.  Nothing has shaken out yet.  Now is the time to look at our roster and determine where our holes are, which FAs we should re-sign and which players aren’t living up to their contracts.

The other places to look are on rosters with new coaches.  There might be some opportunities there for trades and with high turnover due to rebuilds.

What else do we have to do?  There will not be another meaningful game until September.

  3. Losing in the playoffs always hurts.  Losing when a win gives the Bills an excellent chance to win the Super Bowl makes the loss absolutely awful.  This could have been the year, and who knows if they will be this good in the years to come.

Why do people act like the coaches are preparing for the Chiefs 24/7? Do we really think they have absolutely NO time to fit in a video interview? The "distraction" complaint is way overblown.

Preparing for an interview is a ton of work. A candidate needs to be very familiar with a team's roster prior to the interview.  They need to know what assistants they might bring in.  They need to evaluate what can be done to improve the team.  These interviews should not be taking place now.  The Bills agree, but the league voted down their proposal to hold off on interviews until after the Super Bowl.

The issue is we have trouble running the ball in obvious running situations.  Allen's scrambles in passing situations account for the strong rushing numbers.  But that's not a sustainable approach to offense in the playoffs.

I agree with half of this.  We haven't been great at running the ball in obvious running situations but I do think that Allen running the ball can be sustained over 4 games.

According to Pro Football Reference, we've scored the 3rd most points of ANY team in the league!! 3rd guys, 3rd!

What the hell are any of you complaining about?!? What more do you want?!?

While I'm at it, we're #1 in points against and won back to back AFCE CHAMPS!

IMO,  any complainer(you know who you are) is a dumb@$$!; Again, JMO.

    Phew, that felt good!

They have scored more points than any other AFC team and allowed fewer points than any other AFC team.  A season is an emotional roller coaster, so I understand fan frustration.  The Bills are a well coached team though.

    Ruben Brown says hello.

Which says a lot more about Pro Bowl balloting than it does about Tasker.

I was arguing with a Dolphin fan earlier about Zach Thomas.  He said "Zach Thomas changed games."  I was like, maybe so, but Steve Tasker also changed games... and he changed THE GAME.

This group of finalists, except for Hester, doesn't have a single guy I would consider top 5 at his position, or actually even top 10.  Tasker was the very best ever at what he did.  It drives me nuts, especially since this was really his best shot.  I bet he gets in via the Seniors committee someday.

All Pro is different than Pro Bowl.  Getting a spot in the Pro Bowl is easy.  Getting on the All Pro team is hard.

People like using Wallace as the whipping boy on this defense, but he has become a very solid and more consistent player this year...

I will never criticise him.  He really wanted to be back in Buffalo and signed for nothing without ever testing free agency. He's a bargain.

Because they fill a similar role so the younger cheaper guy playing well makes the older more expensive one more expendable.

The younger cheaper one's contract will expire while the older more expensive one has another year left at a really decent price tag.  Utilizing both as the OP suggested is reasonable in my opinion.  For this season and next.

Many think the team isn't good and yet we lead the NFL with a +151 point differential, 11 more than the second place Patriots and 47 more than the 3rd place Cowboys.

It's hard to reconcile these two things.

Some analytics suggest the Bills are the best team in football.  I have no idea if that is true, but there is a lot of variance in the NFL due to the 17 game schedule (compared to 162 in baseball) and officiating.  Having an unlucky season can really cost a team.  Just like getting lucky can really help.  Look at the Cardinals.  They have the most fumbles in football but have only lost 3 of them.  They are on the good side of variance.

Not sure why you'all want to go round and round on this. Nobody held a receiver in either the Titans or Patriots game.  You can what about, or what if, all day long, but in the end my comment is STILL what it all came down to. It doesn't make them a good team or a bad team....but it is what it's all come down to.

Wrong sir.  Watch the end of those games again.  Especially the 3rd down play where Knox got mugged by the Patrios.

  12. When only 1 out of 82 Josh Allen passes results in pass interference or a defensive hold this is what happens.  Rodgers gets a flag once every 27 throws.

    Just now, SoCal Deek said:

The single reason why the Bills are 7-6:

The Bills have had the ball inside the opponent's TEN YARD LINE on the final possession of the game against the Titans, Patriots and Buccaneers. They've failed to score a touchdown all three times. If they put the ball in the end zone and they're 10-3 with the best record in the league and homefield advantage all the way to the Super Bowl.

    Done....end thread!

You fail to mention that those teams were allowed to hold and interfere with our WRs without getting flagged.  Thread resumed.
