  1. Ah, 62-7... one of the most glorious days of my football-watching life that did not involve watching the Bills. I still get the warm fuzzies just thinking about that game.
  2. And the other thing is that the writer calls Vincent a cornerback, leading the casual reader to actually believe that Wire is the other starting safety in the secondary along with Milloy. If Pedulla had done even five minutes of research he'd know that Vincent and Milloy are the starting safeties.
  3. If he makes the team it'll be for special teams only. I wouldn't mind CW being quoted in an article about how great the Bills' ST units are. But to quote him in an article about the defense is ridiculous.
  4. Keep it! And I want Rayzer to bring back Thong Girl while we're at it.
  5. Since this putz self-titles himself "The Football Scientist," maybe instead of thinking up excuses for why his favorite team got rolled by the Bills in almost every game -- including every big game -- for a decade, he should apply his scientific knowledge to proving that Dan Marino caused the very problem that his defenders claim hamstrung him in big games -- i.e., Miami's lack of a running game.
  6. When we stop talking about Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie, you can ask that question.
  7. Rat in a drain ditch Caught on a limb You know better but I know him Like I told you What I said Steal your face right off of your head
  8. Good Christ. Is this not true of EVERY offense? They make it sound like New England invented passing.
  9. Some people here ARE suppositive of the Bills, unfortunately.
  10. From Canada?
  11. Oh and if the border guard asks you if you're carrying any firearms, don't pause before answering. Happened to me once. My mind was wandering (perhaps it was already on Lundy's Lane) and the guard asked "Are you bringing any firearms?" I vapor-locked for a second before saying "No." Guy goes "Had to think about it for a second, eh?" I said, "No, just surprised at the question." Nice recovery, I guess... he let me go.
  12. I've taken to bringing my birth certificate with me. If you have kids, it's always a good idea to bring theirs. Came back from Toronto last night after we bailed on the ferry (it blew out three windows docking in Toronto and I didn't feel like waiting hours for them to fix it, especially since all they would tell us was "it'll be another half an hour or so" ... every time I asked). Made the trip to Pittsford in just under three hours thanks to (1) EZPass and (2) maybe six minutes in line at the Lewiston-Queenston bridge. NEVER take the Rainbow Bridge if you can help it.
  13. We could if we got Corey Simon!
  14. I dunno. Paper's a bit too glossy. You might end up having to wash your hands a bit more than you intended. I'd use it to line a birdcage, though.
  15. And of course the good people of Nebraska rewarded Osborne by electing him to Congress.
  16. Maybe he's thinking of the lacrosse-playing Powell brothers. After Casey, Ryan and Michael, there IS a fourth son -- Mason -- coming up through the ranks right now. I think he's only about 12 right now but I could be wrong.
  17. Greggo ought to thank Drew then. What is he making, something like twice as much money as a DC as he did in Buffalo as a HC? Plus he's viewed as Gibbs' heir apparent. Not since Pete Carroll flamed out of the AFC East have I ever seen anyone land on his feet like that.
  18. Oh I think it could be said that Greggo did enough on his own to get himself fired.
  19. That finger must still be hurting Jonas then.
  20. A-friggin-men. I don't understand some of the negativity here. Oh JP had happy feet. JP made rookie mistakes. JP didn't throw long. JP didn't throw for 600 yards. JP didn't blah blah blah. Good christ people have you watched what we've had at quarterback for the last eight years? Not just the Bledsoe years but the Collins-AVP and Flutie-RJ years. Anyone who can't see that this is a HUGE upgrade with all kinds of upside, well, they're just never going to be happy no matter what. These are probably the same people who wanted Reich to start over Kelly. This kid is well-coached, accurate, strong-armed, knows how to throw balls that won't be picked if they're not caught by our guys, and can make things happen with his arm AND his feet. Plus he's got a great drive to improve and he doesn't act like he has all the answers. I think we are in for a lot of fun these next few years, folks...
  21. 37-27 Saints now after Cassel was hit, fumbled, and lost the ball deep in his territory for a TD. Yeah it's the backups. But it's still fun to see the goatboys lose
  22. Yeah, actually across the river in Wisconsin, though. At one time a lot of the midwestern teams trained in Wisconsin in order to beat the summer heat. The Chiefs are one of the few teams that still does this.
  23. Now now. The poor guy has enough trouble reaching the gas and brake pedals.
  24. Oh... I don't know about y'all, but I got wood just reading all that.
