This is on the officials, but why are three guys going over to the ref so 68 can report? That seems like it would be a tad confusing. Maybe they were hoping to confuse the Cowboys… and ended up confusing the refs instead.
And once the announcement was made, even if a coach had heard it the Lions had no timeouts left to correct the error. Total fustercluck.
At least the screens are big. The old Texas Stadium had the same fan energy and teeny-tiny screens in the corners. Growing up and seeing the Cowboys on tv seemingly every week back in the ‘70s, I was expecting a lot more than I found. It might be the worst of the ones I’ve been to in terms of ambience and energy.
I’ve only been to the old Meadowlands, the old Texas Stadium, FedEx, Arrowhead, and M&T.
The first three were/are complete dumps. Arrowhead, at least before the renovation, was a lot like the Ralph except in red. M&T was pretty nice actually.
I agree with everything you wrote here except the very last part. While I think Josh *should* win it under those circumstances, I also know the voters will be looking for another reason to penalize him. And it’ll be “their mid-season record.” It’ll go like this: “well he can’t be THAT valuable or they wouldn’t have been 6-6 in the first place.” People are funny. They love to talk about clutch performances when it fits their narrative. If it doesn’t fit their narrative then they say “well he only got the opportunity to be clutch because he didn’t play well earlier.”
Just seems there’s a group of voters who will NEVER vote for him and are constantly looking for a reason not to.
If the Ravens tush-pushed Lamar for all those TDs they’d break him in half and they know it.
Right, we already knew that. I think they didn’t flex that game because they intend to flex Miami in week 18. I wonder if there’s a rule against flexing teams in back to back weeks. Would make sense if there was.
