I mean, the leap was great, but that play didn't get near enough love from the announcers. He threw a bullet across his body on the run to his right and it was perfectly on target.

As for not preparing Mason to say the right thing, let’s remember that this is a team whose players — even their Harvard-educated fullback — didn’t even know the SB overtime rules. It appears Shanahan is really good at X’s and O’s but has trouble communicating with Jimmies and Joes.

Seems odd how a 40-year-old immobile QB is able to stand in a vast pocket like that for three or four Mississippis without coming close to getting breathed on, and with no holding flags to boot. Go figure.

Nothing like watching the rest of the league to make you realize how good we actually have it.

Because some people don’t like him - and they have some good reasons not to. But the fact is he played pretty well and made a couple of big plays at important junctures. He knows he can’t dominate a game like he used to, but he can still pick his spots and rise to the occasion a few times a game, and that’s all we need from him. But some people let their (justifiable) dislike of him morph into a refusal to admit that he can ever do anything good on the field.

He is too damn short. Everyone wanted to make a big thing about MJH breaking free near the end, but it didn’t matter because Kyler never saw him. And not because he wasn’t looking - he literally COULDN’T see him.

I had a Fins fan say to me tonight that Thursday is a big game because “you gotta keep pace with New England.” 🙄 (A weak attempt at a troll, implying that we’d finish third or fourth in the division.) Apparently he forgot that we were three games back of the Fins with five games to go last year and still won the division.

Too much complaining about what we didn't do (Kincaid, et cetera). Let's take a step back and consider that there are things this team is capable of doing that we did not show today because it was a non-conference, non-division opponent, and we probably want to save some stuff for Thursday night and other upcoming games. What we did was enough to win the game, and that's all that matters. I expect we'll see stuff on Thursday that we didn't want to lay down on film for the Dolphins.

Also, one thing I’m happy about is that we don’t have to worry about whether Diggs is happy with his targets in a win. I know he had two short scores today but who cares. Beane did a great job retooling the room.
