  1. I'm an avid fan of Big Ten football and he was one of my favorite guys, coming out of Purdue and all. I knew he was a solid QB but all the "experts" could talk about was how he's 5' 11". Just goes to show that height doesn't actually mean all that much for a QB.
  2. I totally agree with what you're saying, but I think on that particular play Mitchell decided to go for the ball and fumble recover TD instead of taking the sack and a safety. That was my first impression anyway.
  3. You got it, bucko. Brad Butler consistently grades out as our best offensive lineman, but nobody (on this board anyway) ever seems to want to give him his due.
  4. They have not played badly. Neither is having a pro bowl type season, but they have been effective. If you want to point out our deficiencies against Favre, Pennington, Warner, etc...point a finger at our total lack of a pass rush. When the QB has all day in the pocket, there isn't much the DBs can do.
  5. My friends and I noticed him too. Our theory is that he wants to tell people 15 years from now about how he sat in the very last seat of the stadium during the entirety of a 54-31 loss in the freezing cold. Something to brag about.
  6. Maybe, but we'll never know, so what's the point in dwelling on it? Maybe he would have been effective, maybe he would have even gotten a pick, or maybe he would have allowed Ginn to get 250 yards. We will never know.
  7. Give me a break, McNabb has been a top 5 quarterback for almost his entire career and this is actually shaping up to be his worst statistical season. His trademark has always been a low interception rate (only 89 so far in a 10 year span) and a high completion percentage. If there's one knock on him it's his inability to manage a clock at the end of a game, and that's probably why there isn't a SB ring on his finger, but in the grand scheme of things he has been a very very good quarterback. So please, give me some evidence of his "not being that good to begin with". I'm really interested on your take because you seem convinced.
  8. Or Y2K 2.0 that has a nice ring to it
  9. Ok impressive, but let's see if he can take down Forrest Gump.
  10. Because we tend to suffer from similar mediocrity and finish the same place in our respective divisions.
  11. Best mascot ever. I knew he must've been hiding somewhere.
  12. Just 8 now, but the 8 franchises are very stable.
  13. You know that the Bills are going to be 15-0 when the world ends right?
  14. Well the problem is you won't let anybody argue against your point using reason, because you don't use any reason when making your point. Your opinion on the matter is based on you perceiving some mental alteration among the players, which you have zero evidence for.
  15. I wonder if Youppi was in attendance...
  16. How well do you think you know Dick Jauron? Your relationship with him is the same as all of ours. We watch him coach a football game once a week and then he gives a press conference. And you have the audacity to say something like "he doesn't understand human emotion"???? There are people I've known my entire life that I don't know such intimate details about. I love how you think you know what is going through everybody's head, your ego must be huge.
  17. Reed broke the record for longest interception return, how could McLovin beat him?
  18. Oh I thought you were just citing the 5 starting QBs who you believed to be the worst.
  19. But then you get it to start the second half! It gives zero advantage.
  20. You are really grasping at straws here. The opening coin toss and the decision the coach makes has absolutely no effect on the game. You say Jauron sent the message that he doesn't trust his offense. Or maybe he just trusted his defense? And it's my understanding that the majority of coaches choose to defer now that they have the option.
  21. Why did you include Collins and Warner? Collins has been more than anybody imagined he'd be and Warner is a legitimate MVP candidate.
  22. That's certainly true. People tend to associate kickers with being "clutch" or "unclutch", but statistics show that a kicker's FG percentage is about the least relieable statistic from year to year, probably because of sample size. Lindell is no less clutch than any other kicker in this situation, he just fell victim to probability. For the last two games, he is 6/7 kicking field goals, a very respectable rate. Too bad for him the one he missed is the one everybody will remember.
  23. Have you ever even watched McNabb play? Are you aware that he has a 2:1 touchdown to interception ratio for his career? Are you aware that he's only attempted to rush the ball 50 times once in the past 5 seasons. Let me take a guess, you made that comparison because he's black?
  24. Yep, you got it right there. You can look for the problem on the field all you want, but the cancer in Philadelphia is on the sidelines. His playcalling and strategy have always been just atrocious. McNabb's problems this year can be attributed to the team's absolute failure to even attempt running the ball. How can you blame McNabb when he's working in a completely one dimensional offense?
