  1. I do play by play for Cornell women's basketball, and they made the NCAA tournament last year as a 16 seed, facing Connecticut. When I got to the media bench for the game (held at nearby Fairfield University), Geno was chatting it up with another reporter so I waited until they were done talking and introduced myself, telling him how great it was to meet a legend. He was one of the nicest guys I've ever talked to and he gave me a lot of words of encouragement as a young reporter. He even granted me a 10 minute long interview that I could play on the sports talk show I host. Needless to say, I root for UConn women's basketball now (when they aren't facing the Cornell ladies, anyway). Just a great guy.
  2. Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children? /Helen Lovejoy Seriously? A two month old baby? If you somehow allow your two month old baby to be eaten by a coyote (something it is NOT naturally inclined to do), it is probably more your fault than the coyote's. Should we just go around killing all the other things that could hurt your kid? Lots of infants have been murdered by their parents. I would suggest that all the parents out there kill their spouses. You know, for the safety of the kid.
  3. Did I say in the post you quoted me on that we shouldn't have done it? I was responding to another poster who said he'd rather be killed via A-bomb than carpet bombing because he'd prefer to be vaporized over a slower death, so I pointed out that many people also died painful deaths from radiation. Completely different topic than what you think you're arguing with me about.
  4. Alex Mack and Max Unger copyrighted their names? Talk about hubris...
  5. WTF??? They didn't honor him? How many billions of dollars do you think he made for Hollywood in his life? Unappreciative S.O.B's...
  6. Congratulations, man. You're giving these kids an excellent experience and creating the new generation of Bills fans too!
  7. dude's not a journalist, he's a law student who thinks he's a journalist.
  8. How about radiation induced cancer?
  9. Exactly. On a positive note, the pandas are almost all gone. Of course, there are the insane people on the environmental fringe who are trying to make new pandas (when everybody knows the babies are the most dangerous!), but the population is still on a decline, thank god.
  10. I'm actually fine with it, because I've long suspected that the pheasants have been plotting something. Always plotting...
  11. Leave the coyote alone. It's a predator in a wooded area, and it did what a predator does. Do we kill our house cats when they catch mice?
  12. What do you mean "you people"? What do YOU mean "you people"?
  13. They became friends in the movie, too. And no, they don't make it look like Dan White killed Milk because he hated gays. Did you watch the film? They make it very clear that White felt betrayed by Milk for his lack of political support after they became friends, and that White eventually became unstable. I guess Diane Feinstein isn't very good at interpreting movies. Besides, they don't hand out the Best Actor Oscar for historical accuracy. Do small inaccuracies cheapen the acting job he did?
  14. Yeah, because you're allowed to have your opinion but Sean Penn is a bastard for having his. Have you even seen Milk? What makes you think he didn't deserve the award?
  15. Yeah, IMO any other movie taking home the best picture would have been a travesty.
  16. Or The Two-Freded Monster.
  17. We would definitely have to come up with a nickname for the double fred backfield.
  18. Really? REALLY? Is this what the thread has devolved to? It's like a thread about the greatest football player in his prime...and 838 posts later somebody nominates Mike Williams.
  19. I'll be a LOT more skeptical than I was this year...having said that, yes, if you can't get excited over a 5-1 record there's no reason to watch at all.
  20. I teleported 40 yards unofficially. On the stat sheet, they marked me down for a 0.1, but it was actually much closer to just straight up 0.0.
  21. Here's my solution to most PC problems...buy a Mac.
  22. We have nuances this year? Awesome! Maybe the next season, we can pick up some intricacies.
  23. The first one is not so much "stupid" as it is ignorant to the nature of the NFL season. The second one, on the other hand, is one of the dumbest things I've ever had the misfortune of reading. Anybody who thinks a Bills fan would just pack up their family and move to a different city to follow a football team isn't in touch with reality one bit.
  24. If you think that was the dumbest post of the year, you haven't been paying close enough attention.
