  1. Let's not forget that he actually hit one of those misses and the refs called it wrong. Not that that's relevant to how his coaches regard him but since we're talking about percentages with a small sample size he's really at 76% not 71%. Also 18/19 on extra points is a good number ever since they stopped being gimmes. You typically see several missed each week around the league. The actual premise behind this thread is ludicrous though. No excuse? A rookie struggling because he's a rookie is about the most reasonable excuse there is in this sport.
  2. There is absolutely no chance he gets cut.
  3. Good play by the LB but that was an awful pass by Wilson.
  4. What a terrible call to settle for a 41 yarder on 2nd down. 2nd down!
  5. I think they should have kicked onsides. Wilson getting a couple first downs is just automatic. Edit: Welp, I was wrong.
  6. Another RB bites the dust.
  7. Wow embarrassing lack of urgency by Arizona.
  8. Accuracy issues. Tsk tsk.
  9. I really do think Beasley will get to 1,000 if he stays healthy all season. Josh is beginning to understand how important he is to controlling possession.
  10. Engram's a talent but he has more drops than anyone.
  11. Even if Allen never does it I plan to live another 70 years.
  12. He's the Steph Curry of the NFL. They're basically in the red zone when they cross midfield.
  13. Rodgers is still right there too in my opinion, and Aaron Donald.
  14. You also give yourself the chance to get a fumble and if you get 2 of those per season it's worth every single time they take it out a few yards past the 25.
  15. That was reminiscent of Ben Watson and Champ Bailey. Metcalf will be a locker room hero for that especially if they hold them to 3 here.
  16. A lot of rookies are the worst players at a lot of positions. You invest in a little pain in the present if you think a player can be great in the future.
  17. Is -21.5 the biggest spread ever? I'd be betting the Jets all day long.
  18. Was anyone else really happy for Jerry Hughes on those last couple drives? He's had such a solid career but has been a half second late in a lot of big situations and committed some really bad penalties. Watching him almost singlehandedly shut the door on this game put a smile on my face.
  19. I think this game was the most emotionally under control I've ever seen Josh and it's no coincidence that he was taking every 5-9 yard gain that the defense was surrendering.
  20. Like every position, if you jettisoned every rookie who struggled there'd be nobody to play the position in the league. It does suck to suddenly be shaky at the position when you're angling for the division when we've been solid at kicker on mediocre teams all these years. I expect him to hover around 70% all season and improve next year.
  21. Allen has over 2,000 yards with 16 TDs and 4 INTs over 7 games, plus 3 rushing TDs. I'm not going to freak out that the first 4 games were better than the next 3. I'm going to remember what it was like watching Trent Edwards, Kyle Orton, Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman and be happy that Sundays are worth looking forward to for more than just being a day off work.
  22. Generally I agree but in the case that we do surrender the division, the fewer AFC vs NFC the wins the better especially with that 7th playoff spot.
  23. Raiders losing is a great result for us as they will be in the thick of the wildcard race.
