  1. I know I've been a staunch EJ guy, but apparently Tyrod looked good today as well. If he's more consistent I'm starting to buy in.
  2. Kyle is chasing JJ Watts offensive production. Seriously, all those SF Gans who said Roman is predictable were off their rockers.
  3. It sound like Kouandjio is in full pads today. Good sign.
  4. I think theres a subtle difference the the requirements for the positions. Right guard is a little more focused on run blocking (Miller's specialty ) while left guard needs more of a focus on pass protection. It's a subtle difference but I prefer Reggie on the blind side.
  5. Hey, I'm happy to hear about Wood. Going by the Astro-notes , Glenn, Incognito look very very good and Miller looks very good. Cyrus and Seantrel have both looked average.
  6. Unconfirmed sources tell me that they will wait until December and will then abandon him on an ice flow on Lake Erie. Tyrod and his ability in the intermediate passing game.
  7. I am a little surprised for the love the Phins are getting as well. I think they're a decent team, and Tannehill is progressing nicely and seems to be better than anything we have. But we are, at best for them, a wash at the O and D lines ( I think we have a slight edge at D line) and TE. We are easily superior at WR where we have three really impressive plays, while they have broken down Greg Jennings and two ok to meh players in Stills and Landry. They have NO real CB depth after Grimes and their linebackers are abyssmal. TBH I'm more worried about the Jets than the Dolphins.
  8. What! You mean he hasn't been traded yet?
  9. No, the English language did it for you. Not to come down too hard on you, as I do it as well some times, but that is the correct difference.
  10. Good to hear. We've seen 2-3 years of minimizing the importance of guard play. Right now I'm hearing the same thing in Philly (cut Harremans and Mathis, the two starters) and people are going on about how since they have tackles things will be fine. I'm trying not to laugh. My worry about Tyrod would be that he would be just a running QB. That he has any chops at all as a pocket QB is heartening.
  11. I am increasingly. Even if it's only "meh" his run game and long ball make him interesting.
  12. I'm actually less and less worried about the scrambling as time goes on. The O-line so far seems far and away better at run blocking that pass protection. If scrambling forces 8 or 9 men into the box I'll feel a lot better.
  13. Hmm, thanks. At this point what are your impressions of Tyrod? From the outside it seems like he's never the worst or the best, but tends to light things up with big plays.
  14. I hate to be that guy, but you guys do know that "hedge" in the business sense is to make an investment in a related field to offset the risk of an earlier, riskier investment, right? The example I was given was, after procuring an airline, that you buy a fuel supplier so you absorb some of the risk of price fluctuations. Or, you know, get a stud WR prospect to help out a QB who had a rocky start.
  15. I think so, but I'm so desperate I might do it anyway.
  16. You are aware that, even if guilty, you'd need a DA (I believe the NYC one) or the state attorney general who wants to commit career suicide trying to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. Even if the office does it, the blowback kills any political ambitions.
  17. Unfortunately, looking over Rex's comments it looks like Karlos might be taking over special teams duties.
  18. Yeah, I was just hoping that the deal with yahoo could have helped cut out the middleman. They clearly have the capacity to do it if they can do preseason games, and live for people in the UK. I do think it's going to be cheaper in the US though. Preseason was what, $15, and forty for all teams, never mind just one.
  19. Or Dallas. They need a RB in a bad way.
  20. I'm going to wait for the Astro report, but please remind me: has TT been recorded as having a horrible day? I know EJ's had rough days, and good days and Cassel has been consistently Meh Cassel...but has Tyrod every really shat the bed?
  21. Apparently it was an install day, which makes sense that each side is now gearing up for the scrimmage.
  22. Are you sure about the money for Boobie? Over the Cap is usually good and they seemed to indicate that it would be more like $1.1M I'm cap space.
  23. IDK...Roman did it on the fly in San Fran when Smith went down. Was of the big shticks in the offseason was people assuring us that Roman would build the offense around the starter. I'm not saying anything is decided, but I think we need to pump the brakes on the "Cassel is starter" talk. It would seem to start in slow motion...and then reveal that Cassel is just that slow.
  24. Call me crazy, but do you bother spending time installing the read option if you're truly sold on Cassel?
