  1. It was. Thomas, Holmes and Tindale went nuts. I was 19 and in my freshman year of college. Remember watching that game with my newly purchased Bryce Paup jersey on.
  2. Yep, just looked it up. Beat Denver 27-20 Monday, September 26th 1994. That put our record at 3-1 but we would finish 7-9 that season and our four year AFC championship run would come to an end. The following year we would bounce back (one of my favorite Bills teams) and surprised by winning the division and beating Miami 37-22 In the wild card round in Buffalo (Still recall Musberger opening the telecast saying something like "Welcome to the winter slaughter house; where Buffalo has never lost a playoff game in Rich Stadium) before succumbing to the Steelers 40-21 in the divisional round. I'm a Bills nerd. In the off season I like to read old box scores and newspaper articles on all of our teams, good and bad.
  3. Makes me think of the Kansas Jayhawks football helmets. Not a fan though I'd be interested to see how it would match up with different uni combos
  4. Yeah, some of these responses are making me feel a bit better. Having seasons was a badge I proudly sported. Having that badge no longer is a weird feeling but at the end of the day I know I will be no less passionate. September 10th (The opener is not one of the games I will be attending) is going to really feel strange though...
  5. Wow. This analogy is the best thing I'll read all day. Straight gold!!
  6. Ha, yeah. Rich is what I grew up with. I'm 41...Got accustomed to calling it the Ralph the first couple years I had seasons for some reason.
  7. So this is the first time in 5 years I will not have season tickets due to life circumstances. I still intend to make it to 3 home games but that's far short of my usual 8 (plus 1 preseason) trips to the Ralph (I'll never call it the Cap). I was OK as one can be with this until lately. As the season nears I almost feel a sense of guilt. It will be hard when I am in the stadium this season and look up or over at section 331, row 26, seat 2 knowing that was my spot for 36 consecutive games. Has anyone else who had season tickets and gave them up for whatever reason; even out of frustration gone through this? It will be strange not being at the Hammer lot at 8 am every home game Sunday. I've told myself I will will get together and grill with the guys I had season tickets with (they dropped them too, I was the lynch pin of the group) or go cheer on the Bills at a local sports bar to experience the comradery but I worry that this will all feel bitter sweet at best. It's just such an odd feeling. I was proud of the streak I had and now it's over. I suppose I will get used to it in time but it's just such a strange feeling. It's like part of me feels I am letting the team down.
  8. Agreed. There are too few football games to enjoy a season to have to deal with that.
  9. I'm just leary of building for the future plans. There is no guarantee it will work out. Given this franchise it's likely not to with our luck. I know it's a new staff and they deserve a chance but man as we all know it's rough having to hope things are better next year. Or the next.....I don't believe we were a playoff team this year but I had an inkling of hope. Post trades and the performance in Philly (I know, preseason) have left me feeling deflated and as if the rug was pulled out from under this season in what is usually the most exciting time of year for me. The future is never cetain.
  10. Just win. Doesn't matter how they look. Just stack em up.....I know where you're going here but to honestly answer your question "what if the bills/jets are tied late" all I'll be thinking about is finding a way to win that game.
  11. Sad if true. I bet only half of them sell out then if it's a typical Bills season. For the first time the new no black out rule will affect me, so thankfull for that. Hopefully the boys suprise and the place fills up
  12. Stubhub. Still 2 at the same price in the same section, plus others for under 30 in the same endzone and the rock pile across the way. Both Colts and Fish have cheap options. Stood about 75% of the time during my 331 run.. Glad to hear that's the case down in 123
  13. So life circimstances forced me to end my 5 year run of season tickets in my beloved 331. While I won't be attending every game this year I still intend to make 3 or maybe 4 games. One of the silver linings is that it will be interesting to see what it's like to sit in different parts of the stadium. Picked up two for the Colts game today in section 123 for 19 bucks each, with fees. I consider that a steal. Anybody have seasons down there or sat there before? Got an idea about perspectives from 3d seating charts but wondering what the crowd is like. I know they're nuts on the closed end, been there before. Looking forward to football. Go Bills.
  14. Pittsford pub is just down the road. Decent food and a solid selection of beers. Penfield pour house is solid too. Both have upperscale pub food. I live a mile away, maybe I'll grill that night 😁
  15. EVERYONE watches the Super Bowl and would also do so on a Saturday. But I think the NFL's logic is there is more competition for things to do on a Saturday night so they're content with Sunday night. I heard somewhere recently that if you own Sunday night tv you get the greatest percentage of viewers tuned in compared to the rest of the week. Now I am ALL for a Saturday SB, have been for years. But the slight notion of the NFL losing .0005% of viewers scares them away, american worker be damned. They'll play the Super Sunday tradition card.
  16. I think I could get on board with this but absolutely love the idea of the Superbowl being on a Saturday. Both prob won't happen though.
  17. I tried to post a pic I took of of Kyle Williams and Mario Williams a few years back from one of the small fields around back but couldn't post it because it was too big. There are a couple small fields in the back (like 25 yards maybe) that they use for units. D line, corners, etc..you can walk right around to them and be 10 feet away, though there is a netting. I Don't think they use them for ticketed practices though as they stick to the main field and the secondary field next to it for those. I'll be there Friday and let the board know if this is still the case for the non ticket practices.
