  1. Edwards didn't answer incorrectly at all, he answered what he felt and it wasn't the best answer. Honestly though, Edwards should understand the frustration of the fans and try to have some empathy by putting some blame on his shoulders in press conferences.
  2. Orton has been good for a while???? He's looked worse than Edwards and even JP Losman at times. He definitely looked worse than Trent before this season. Have you ever seen his #s or watched him play? http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7282/c...yCEwcCGS8b.uLYF Please tell me which season you thought was good before this one. I'll wait.
  3. Ok, but wouldn't you want them to give you a new memory to like another team like the Giants? I mean if I get my head cleared I wouldn't want to be a fan.... but alas! I'm stuck a fan!!!
  4. I know he could have answered it better, but it's not a reason to proof-text and go crazy acting as if he said he hates the Bills. I said last week he wasn't a football fan and has said so openly. He's not a football guy, he's a guy who plays football and is athletic and talented enough to play it at some level (which is pretty low on NFL standards). He'll be out of the league in 3 or 4 years of collecting paychecks then directing Dakota Fanning films. Still, he isn't the same guy who started for us his rookie year. He's clearly regressed and become gun-shy. That's coaching...
  5. Well it's happened a few times that I can think of... Anthony Thomas over Fred Jackson, JP over Holcomb (hard to compare who is worse, but JP is worse), Hardy over Johnson last year, throwing Maybin at DE over Ellis... Should I go on?
  6. You're not very bright. His response was in CONTEXT to the question asked. Wait... You've always said exactly what wouldn't hurt everyone's feelings on every word you've said your entire life... Yeah... sure... Not defending his play, but his comment/response was not inappropriate in CONTEXT.
  7. The same JP who threw for 75 yards in 2 games in a row? The same guy who would skip bounces to WRs? The guy who just never seemed to understand how to play football in the NFL? I'm not saying Trent is good, but you cannot compare the 2. Trent is much better, not based on #s strictly, although they favor him in efficiency, but if you watch the game it's a no-contest. Most of JPs #s were in garbage times in blow-outs, whereas Trent is just beginning to part of the blow-out machine that is the 2009 Buf Bills!!
  8. McKinnie was not at the same level as Williams ever. His rookie year was rough, but after that he was solid in his 2nd, not great, and above average LT... something we still need.
  9. Well here is the video of the play... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnmGSMccDuU So Suggs was pushed in the back, lost his balance and didn't dive at his knees and the penalty is the Brady rule? Then Brady instructing the ref to make the call?
  10. Hey Don, TIVO is good to have. I don't have that luxury. Thanks for that. Are you saying the SS was in the box and there were 2 guys deep playing FS? If so then I have a bit more faith in the kid. From the 2 seconds I could see that angle on TV I didn't see those safeties 15-20 yards off the LOS so I couldn't see them. Ok, so I'm partially retracted on the statement, but not fully. Don't you think he should have audibles into a quick slant and seen where that could take them. If you see 9 in the box I don't see how a running play is the right call. The pass setting up the run is the appropriate call when down by so much if I'm not mistaken.
  11. Ok, granted that is for the team, I was talking about supporting this guy as a starter. I was willing to watch him develop for this season, but that one play where he audibled on single coverage and put the team on Jackson rather than himself when the play was calling for him to go to the WR and that's why he audibled... well I can't see him as a leader. I think though, he would be a decent 2nd string guy if we need him.
  12. We've all heard the reasons for Trent's demise, and some of it may be legit, but last night I officially gave up on him as a starter for this team. Can anyone else remember this play yesterday? It was about 8:30 in the 4th quarter and it was 2nd and 12th and T.O and Evans were lined up one-on-one with the box stacked with not a safety deep. Trent audibles to the line and then the WRs and then promptly hands off the ball to Fred Jackson for a 6 yard gain. That's it, I've had enough. I could say his confidence was lacking previously, bad coaching, but this was 100% his call deep in our own territory with a shot to put the pressure on him. He didnt' want the pressure. Now I wouldn't have cared if it was his 3rd INT (this was before his actual 3rd), an incompletion, or 5 yards off the mark and he missed. Nope, this is not a leader of a football team. I've been hoping against hope after his performance in Washington his rookie year, and his first game against the Jets where he did pretty well considering the circumstances. He was hitting slants in stride, and playing like he had a high ceiling. As others have said it may have been coaching, it may be in his head, and frankly I don't care. I want a QB who leads. Go watch that play and tell me how anyone sees him as leading this team. I'm not a negative nancy, but that was a pathetic excuse of a play by a gutless QB. Throw a freaking jump ball softly about 20 yards and put the play on your and the WR. Trent's a nice guy, doesn't particularly care about football and is not a big fan of the sport, and I'm sure he's in it for the money. I wish him well, but not as the starting QB for this team. I have never seen such a gutless audible in all of my life.
  13. You are assuming they always do things a certain way, when people are saying preferential treatment. Also, the calls yesterday bordered on insane, as did the 2007 Ravens game. I watched both of them and in both games the calls were very circumspect and extremely preferential. Lastly, they couldn't blatantly cheat in the Giants SB game when the whole world was looking for cheating. They looked pretty ordinary on offense for a change... isn't that just a coincidence huh?
  14. That's really funny. Thanks for the laugh. You have to wonder what Oz character they would have who is missing their balls?
  15. Here's what another coach did on 4th and 1 in the 3rd quarter in worse field position: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AvRC...o&type=lgns We had more of a reason to go for it. I told my friend, he's mailing in the game.
  16. Agreed, and our D was #2 or 3 in the league when we had the meatbag.
  17. I don't remember saying that and actually I said he was mediocre. If you misunderstood me than I apologize for my means of writing. I think he's middle of the pack mediocre: better than Kerry Collins but not better than Aaron Rodgers or Carson Palmer. I still think Eli Manning is unproven and is just now playing well for the first time in regular season without Burress. Other than playing well in post-season one year he hasn't looked elite. I put the elite at 4 with Manning, Brees, Warner, and Brady. Then comes the good group with Rivers, Romo, Farve (who was elite and looked elite yesterday), Big Ben, etc. I put Trent in the mediocre category. He's a clone of Hasselback IMO. He will never amaze you but he won't play horribly either (except for the Cleveland game last year) in normal circumstances. I disagree with Campbell though, I think his career as starter is going bust quickly in year #5. I think the Chiefs game is a better indication and I do not need to see a whole year of him to see him succeed. Yes, it took Brees 4 years, but he is a rare egg who was throwing very well at Purdue. I agree. I agree as well.
  18. They are going to control how the doctor cares for you, control wages, but don't worry, they won't "own" it.
  19. You are making the classic mistake of misdiagnosing an obvious distinction. If they can force you to pay insurance for existing than it's a tax for existing. Either you believe you have to pay to exist or you don't.
  20. He mentions how bad the QBs are in TB, Clev, Oak and how a great QB like Cutler is changing the Bears with very little offensive weapons. Now Cutler will also lose you games like his 1st one with 4 INTs, but he is making plays for the Bears when they need him. He mentioned Edwards in a very positive light and said and I'm paraphrasing: "He's a bright kid, from an Ivy League school, highly recruited as best HS QB in the country... but he played badly, and of course he would with that offensive line. There's no way you can play well with a line like that. He'll turn it around and the Bills will turn it around with some experience and a new coaching staff." Trent played decent to good the first 2 weeks and didn't play well with pressure, and played just awful outside the tackles, but to say we are done with him is ridiculous. You do realize there are only 4 great QBs playing and the rest are good to mediocre to flat out bad and Trent is in that mediocre category right now. People see him in a better light nationwide and only the one week Bills fans who love him and hate him week in and week out bash him. The guy is making some plays, but this is a learning curve from a guy who has shown some very good tools. I'm not ready to run on the guy until the Chiefs game. He played 2 good games and one poor one, that's not bad for a 3rd year guy with bad pass protection.
  21. -Use screens to open up the passing game because our O-line can't pass protect and stops blitzing. -Florence should be a starting CB when healthy, he plays the ball, McKelvin needs to play nickel when he comes back -Ellis needs to play over Maybin... Maybin is too weak to play against a tackle in the NFL -Sign an experienced vet, even if injured last year over Bell... Bell is good in run plays, not good in pass protection and needs to get stronger -Need a TE as we use them more than our primary WRs -Use slants and motion on primary WRs -Ditch no-huddle at least until the bye Coaching (gulp) has been decent except AVP went from smart to overthinking the game
  22. Have 2 friends who are police officers in 2 different jurisdictions. They both admit the minority of cops are on power trips who like people's lives miserable, yet they admit more would be if they could get away with it and talk about doing it. Frankly, I'm against the police state we currently have. We don't need so many cops on the hwy giving out tickets which is nothing more than a tax. I have been persecuted by the police but never physically. I was young and they assumed I was up to no good with no proof or evidence and I was doing NOTHING wrong. One cop told me to go home one night as I was walking and I asked why and he said he would make up something just to throw me in jail. I'm in my 30's now and I haven't experienced anything like my teenage years, but it's not as if I don't remember it. I also find the disturbing trend of brutality now caught on tape and people are acting as if this is a new trend just because cameras are catching it. Watch the EMT get attacked by the cop just recently and the students at the U of Pitt get cornered on the stairs as they are attacked for nothing and they cannot leave as they are getting gassed.
  23. Well don't ask questions if you want to be an idiot when refuted. If you want to act like an emotional woman go right ahead and make no sense as if we don't get enough idiot rants from our wives.
  24. Not a Trent homer but it's way way too early to give up on him. Looked good the 1st 2 weeks and this is his first bad game and it wasn't horrible either. I would rate his performance "O.K" all things considered with our crappy O-line pass protection and blitz pick-ups. Was he good? Nope, and he is not a GREAT type of QB even at his best. He's just efficient and accurate at his best, and today he was playing like Chicken Little with horrible reads when he got flushed out of the pocket. I put more of his performance on the O-line 1st, especially our tackles, and 2nd on his poor mental adjustments to try to make plays rather than be the efficient stat midget he can be at times. I mean how stupid is throwing to your TE 5 yards down the field on 4th and 23? Take a shot down the field and if it's picked off so what as the game is over anyway.
