  1. Actually he brought better big play ability. That's what astounds me about this. When Jackson was in he did better rushing and receiving than Lynch has, and the same holds true for this season. Lynch is a great guy, plays hard, but his vision bites. Occasionally he'll have a flash of vision, but not always. Jackson just gets the yards better than Lynch does. Does Jackson have full year physical capabilities to withstand the pounding of a 16 game season? Don't know, but right now it's worth using him for 15-25 carries and Lynch with 10-18. One more factoid that people bring up but makes no sense is "what if Lynch ran 25-30 times" a game argument. Honestly I can't understand that. How can someone get more carries when they aren't getting first downs consistently? I know it's a paradox, but here it's common logic to those apologists for Lynch. I think Lynch is a good short-distance runner, but not much more at this point in his career unless he develops vision, which is highly unlikely.
  2. I guess reading comprehension is not so good around here. I read the whole thing. Edwards didn't start over JP because he was better, but because JP got injured. The coaches didn't make a decision, more than JP got hurt, we started winning games and POOF JP called out his own performance as his career changer. Peters started at RT after playing numerous spots (even DT on special teams), and getting cut from the team as a TE. Jackson was inactive because Thomas, Williams and Gates were over him on the depth chart. Gates couldn't stop fumbling, and Shaud did nothing so THEN we put Jackson in. My point was guys who start over higher round picks take years to make their point, not that UFA can't make the team and eventually ascend. Guys like Marques Colston are bizarre when their coach plays them because they are better. I read the whole thing Einstein, I read it in context and answered it. If you want me to quote everything you say go be the thought police as moderator. You can trust the coaches, but I'm not a homer. I know what I see on TV, and I knew Edwards was better as a rook than JP as a vet, and I knew Jackson was better than Thomas, Gates, and Williams. It's not that I want to be smarter than the coaches, but the coaches have pressure from the front office to play these guys and that's reality and I want to WIN. (brilliant idea huh?) I almost wonder why people say my name is fitting after I own their silly ass stories over and over again. Strangely enough it's for people like you.
  3. Awesome humor. It's even funnier to think he is playing "well" by some people's standards. If he wasn't a pro-bowler last year people would kill him, but now we have to feel bad for the idiot. He sucks this year and is BELOW average.
  4. As much as Palin is a liar, and worse she is a dumbass, I still have to give Obama the nod for being the greatest polished liar of all-time. Expect a ride, because here it comes.
  5. Is this a joke? Where did he say this? Maybe I'm not nuanced in how everything can be interpreted to be racist.
  6. I almost thought this was satire, until I got to the point you thought I was ignorant. Why don't you tell me what the stimulus checks have done. We borrowed $10 billion from China to give back $6 billion in their goods. We are $10 billion in the hole and the economy hasn't changed. I'm sorry, but you have no freaking idea what you are talking about. We need to tank because we are built on expanding credit. We don't have the infrastructure economically to continue. What you are saying is to create an electronics and garbage bubble for the poor so that the economy can increase. If that's the case why work? Just have the government print money and we can watch the ships go by. The reality is you can only say what you have because we got off the gold standard. Destroying the currency is worse than stimulating the economy artificially. I know that might be hard for a liberal to understand, but give it less than 10 years when our nation's credit status changes. You will see it in your lifetime, and all of your ignorant statements will come home to roost. Economies are best when they are producing, exporting, and finally spending. If I was to plan a way for my family to exceed financially I would work, produce, save, and then spend. Liberal think they can rob that man of his work to get ahead because they didn't work and save, and when all else fails borrow more. Every country which has came off a standard of currency that is stable has collapsed. If a country spends without working and saving it spends on credit. Someone has to pay for it, it's not free money.
  7. Just like with Anthony Thomas right? Just like with Lienart and Warner right? It usually takes an injury before it happens, but coaches are as biased as the front office to get their 1st rounders to play as much as possible unless there are solid starters ahead of them. Greer is probably gone next year, and tell me if McKelvin is better next year too just in case I get sick of seeing us get torched.
  8. That's not conspiracy theory, that's just the truth. NE gets away with holding, blatantly, 5 times a game. It's so bad I have a hard time watching them play the Bills, and not just now, but for the past 6 years.
  9. At some point you should learn about economics. Spending is not what makes the economy thrive. It's not that easy. We are in the mess we are in because the politicians thought like that and they too don't understand economics. They subsidized housing so people could spend on housing to stop the recession and created another bubble and it burst, this time much worse than the recession we would have had without creating a housing bubble. Now we have a bail-out which essentially creates more of the same problem with spend out way out mentality. The problem is we don't have the money to spend and it creates a deficit. Spending has to be in proportion to savings and production, and if savings and production go up then spending can follow to increase. When most of our spending is based on imports than it's not Americans who are reaping the benefits. When they gave the stimulus to spend did it help the economy? Nope, because most people didn't save, instead they went out and bought Chinese electronics at large department stores. Sure that might help keep $8/hr guy employed and help Best Buy, but it doesn't help the overall economy. The strength of an economy is when it's people and country are saving, not by the quantity of cheap Chinese electronics in their house. The WORST thing that can happen to us is not a recession, but destroying the dollar. If we keep spending without any thought for inflation the only thing keeping us alive is other people buying our debt and assets. Eventually they will say they want their money back when we don't have the ability to pay them back. When that happens look at Argentina 2001 and 2002.
  10. So you think more spending and consumption is the problem when our issue is lack of savings and production? How can you increase spending when there isn't enough real money in liquidity and it has to be borrowed? You have the welfare mentality where you can just print up more money when times get bad. You are lucky we have the power we do, and when it's gone the printing press goes with it. And we wonder why liberals get elected... ignorance
  11. Reed is not a solid #2, but he is a solid player. Most importantly we are going his saavy and blocking.
  12. I don't think anyone is down on Whitner, but those are exactly the same concerns I have. He is not an impact player, and his deficiencies in the secondary are now becoming evident, especially at FS. The guy gives a damn and is excellent in the run game. I just wish he would do something in the secondary once in a while.
  13. Care to tell us what Lynch's average is? It's lower unless you want the Miami game to be the only game you measure. Jackson has played better rushing, catching, and on special teams. The Lynch loves comes down to adoring 1st rounders, which to me is the worst type of homerism. I want the best man playing.
  14. Democracy sure as hell doesn't work. Every 4 years they promise some more lies, give away power to people who aren't elected, and don't think of what is best for the people. Democracy was always considered the worst form of government by philosophers until the Enlightenment (which was really the intellectual Disfigurement). Democracy, even in ancient times, was considered easily influenced to make a mob mentality. This is evinced by the welfare crowd, and the war monger crowd. They will vote party lines every time. We need a gov't that is full with medical doctors first and foremost, soldiers, businessmen, economic professors with a background of predicting the economy in 5 year segments with reviews of their predictions, and statemen who are not politically motivated through partisanship but have fought for liberty either as journalists and/or have a stellar record at the local level. If there are lawyers it should be capped at 10% of the politicians. If we had doctors we wouldn't have contingency attorneys who produce nothing and consume like parasites, and you wouldn't have insurance companies controlling the medical system. I have never seen, generally speaking, more lucid thinkers and honest assessments than through medical doctors. I also believe mandatory classes in minor and major logic are required before becoming a politician. Sorry, 2 party B.S doesn't do anything except make fights and arguments and doesn't look for the good of the country. Many times the good of the country is beyond what the majority wants. Many in this country now want universal healthcare with a $10 trillion deficit, potential loss of complete faith in the dollar internationally, and an exploding deficit in the future. Real politicians who would look for the good of the country would immediately nix the idea until we have a real budget surplus and production in this country.
  15. Did you eat Donte Flakes while wearing Donte 3-D glasses while watching the game? He gave up 2 huge plays, and Donte was LUCKY Mitchell was there otherwise it would've been a touchdown. When have you seen Donte stop a big play from a TD in the secondary? When have you seen him break up a pass in the past 2 years plus? The long run by Williams Donte was being eaten up by a WR downfield and couldn't shed the block.
  16. He's playing up to par if he has a 10+ handicap. Frankly I would rather see Chambers re-inserted. This is embarrassing. The Seahags had 2 good pass-rushers and Trent had time. I'll take that.
  17. Donte took a bad angle on the play with the Raiders and we got burned for a TD this year. Dante got burned out of his jockstrap by Ginn on a few plays. He does give up more plays than that, but those just stand out. Now even in a Cover 2 the safeties DO make plays. Next, as someone else mentioned, we don't always run the Cover 2. No one throws to a safety, that's not their role, their role is to cover where the pass is going. The question isn't why doesn't the QB throw at Donte, but why Donte doesn't make a play at the ball. I know that might seem hard for some of you to understand, but that's why good safeties play their position. I've never seen a QB throw at Reed or Polamalu but they make plays at the ball. My biggest problem is Gates 2006 and 2008 with the Charges. There is a reason they put Scott on him rather than Whitner who was brought in here precisely to stop the new offenses that are TE heavy. Well why did we take him off? Because he's not sufficient to do it. Many of the arguments of why we got him are now thrown out the window. Hell, I don't need INTs, I just need to see him break up some pass plays. If anything thinks the role of the safety should be "wait until the WR catches the ball, then tackle him" I would love you to rethink how the position is played. We could've done the same thing with a FA mid-grade guy. If Donte was brought in to help stop the run then Ngata was our man.
  18. Of course it is, because it must be. Lynch was first round, Jackson not even drafted. Tell me one thing Lynch does better right now? One, go ahead. He's not better at rushing, receiving, or special teams. Teams don't fear him getting 25 carries and crowd the line. Don't let a good fiction kill your story.
  19. Do you honestly think if he put up half of Polamalu's #s in the secondary this would happen? I'm just saying half, not 3/4s. The guy flat out sucks in the secondary and he's not around the ball.
  20. Wait until we hit "C" credit with the world, they aren't buying our treasury notes, and we have to "cut" their precious little welfare state. We haven't starved in this country in a while, soon we will, and to be honest it won't make a difference because the Rs and the Ds were liberal with spending.
  21. Of course when he issues what you think is "hate" you are exempted before it's comedy. Also you are too stupid to understand that he's not saying everyone will become a pillow muncher, he's saying the laws will make it "hate" to call them pillow munchers. If you like abortion so much start with yourself, but first help those who can't understand basic logic like your buddy who's cheering you on.
  22. Actually I believe it's just the opposite. These pretty much are all on roids. When they get caught it's laughable because of the designer roids they use that are untraceable, and the stuff they ingest to mask it. If they really wanted to catch these guy you would suspend 98% of the NFL, maybe higher. Does anyone here honestly think steroids are worse in baseball? Do you realize how big these guys are and it's impossible to do so naturally?
  23. I agree with everything you said, but I believe you have to invert your belief in Lynch and Jackson. Jackson to me is the much better option with more versatility and vision.
  24. Here's your answer... When someone is drafted highly people will automatically defend them for at least 3 years. Sometimes players turn it around, e.g. Youbouty, but usually when they turn it around they still aren't worth all the protection they get from the fans. BTW, Jones had some clutch INTs in the secondary. I wish I could say the same. McGee and Greer have been above average in coverage this year, but with McGee hurt I don't expect much in the future.
  25. Fred too much? When was the last time Lynch averaged over 4 yards? Jackson sets things better for Lynch, and not vice versa. We looked awfully good with him in the game. I'd actually prefer Jackson with 20 carries and Lynch with 15. In most situations Jackson makes the offense better, and is a better receiver. Stop hating on Jackson because he's so freaking good. I hate all this hating on Jackson. (that's sarcasm for everyone who says exactly the opposite just so they realize how dumb they sound) Jackson gives a wrinkle to the O we haven't had in a long time, and Jackson does open the game up more for Lynch, not vice versa as Jackson is more versatile and D coordinators know that.
