  1. You think Reed is a legit #2? Good #3, but not a legit #2. He comes to play, but Reed is not a legit #2.
  2. Their running game is atrocious and they are 4-4. Brees is all world right now and my point is without a running game the dimensions of TOP is huge.
  3. That may or may not be true. After watching it from a bird's eye view on the replay it showed him breaking with Roscoe turned and fell. He only broke after he fell. No one knows if it would have happened, and it might have been pass int. The reality is, no one knows. Similar play happened with JP and Evans last year on a quick out where Evans slipped. It's part of the game. My point was that Trent can't make the offense click by himself, and those better than him (Brees and Warner) aren't pitching shut-outs themselves without a running game.
  4. There are 2 unbelievable players this year playing QB and they are on teams that aren't producing blow winning teams: Arizona and New Orleans. Both QB are producing 300 yards per game and a 100 QB rating. Phenomenal right? New Orleans is 4-4 and the Cardinals, with today's win, are 5-3. Put their season together and you have a 9-7 season. This relates to Edwards in every way because both of those teams can't run the ball. Trent actually played a pretty good game with a 90 QB rating until his last pic (which was his fault), and the other pic probably wouldn't have happened with Roscoe on his feet. Despite of what may or may not have happened, all of this chatter about Trent has to stop. The bottom line is we have won more games with him under center than we have would lose with our other options. If Warner and Brees can't have strong winning seasons averaging 300 yards a game and 100 QB ratings well what the hell do you want with a guy who is playing as a top 10 QB without a running game? At some point you have to get past the stats and realize without Edwards what kind of shape we would be in. We sure wouldn't have won with Farve playing for us today.
  5. Tell me how Drew Brees and the Saints are doing? The QB without a rushing game is not a winning team.
  6. The real reason is no running game. D did decent, although in the 2nd half they were an open sieve.
  7. Who else will make up for his interceptions and pass break-ups?
  8. We saw it, we were looking for more than 20 yards in a game while average around .8 yards a carry in the first half
  9. You cannot say that unless Roscoe was up. It could have been pass int, it could have been a completion. Facts are it was Roscoe's fault.
  10. Don't change YOUR point (not mine) you said you could tell us about a big play he has accomplished. All I'm saying is that he is excellent on playing the run, and not so great in coverage, actually below average. He doesn't give up the play, he just plays off the receiver and goes for tackles over playing the ball. Since you won't point out the big-plays you've mentioned that exist, can you admit if it was 4th and 5 in the 4th quarter you would not want him in the secondary and would prefer many other safeties in coverage? If I'm wrong, point out where I'm wrong.
  11. I'm glad you brought that up. Few people understand that ridiculous assertion that Israel is part of the U.S state.
  12. Actually, I do know it.
  13. In other words how can someone on welfare get $265 to donate without calling into question where that money came from.
  14. Jackson was better, but not by much. I would rather see him start and let Lynch get some carries.
  15. I thought Edward played pretty well overall. His first pick was from Roscoe falling down, and his 2nd pick was his fault, but overall a good game. I know the box score doesn't reflect that, but he played very well with no running game.
  16. Point one out to me. This game is one more example of a good rushing tackler, and not much else.
  17. I'm on the same page. 15 rec and 205 yards is elite. The problem is people who claim he isn't a true #1 had legit concerns with his many games at 2-4 catches. No one considers Devery Henderson a true #1, although he is a deep threat. I'm extremely happy with how Evans has stepped up, but I was slightly worried about that back-up CB one-on-one with Lee and there wasn't separation when there needed to be on several occasions, once two throws in a row that were broken up and one on the replay shows the CB step for step with Lee. Still, I think he's turning the corner. If he can average 5-7 catches and can get 70 yards a game+ that would put him in the upper eschelon of guys.
  18. We very rarely pass within the 10. I don't see it and I don't know why they have chosen this route, but they have. Maybe they don't feel comfortable without a good receiving TE. Evans, surprisingly because of his size, has used his body well a la Harrison in the end zone. Give Evans a chance.
  19. I always loved Fletcher on this team. I loved the signing and I hated watching him leave. He's still a good player, but certainly not the best MLB in the league. That belongs to Willis right now. The guy is a machine.
  20. He admits he doesn't know the issues, but where he went to college is important when you throw "Change" around.
  21. You sound unAmerican and lack Patriotism.
  22. And say what? No one is anti-Whitner, we want him to make plays that mean something, not get torched in the secondary without doing anything. "But a reporter said it!!!" And if Jerry Sullivan says it does it make it any more of a reality? London Fletcher all-pro not Patrick Willis?
  23. Excellent idea. It's what I believe myself, except we could bring in a TE for blocking for Lynch then set Jackson up as #3 and throw them off as well. Jackson becomes the X factor. I also think Lynch would run better behind Peters and Royal.
  24. Here is the better answer to those questions. Would you rather: A. Sign new O-linemen mid-season to fix the problem B. Change the blocking patterns and coaching mid-season C. Change the running back and see if most of your questions can be answered At this point you should realize that logic must dictate the answer is C. Then again I'm not amongst the more brilliant people I've ever encountered.
  25. Can't reply to all your non-sense so let me reply to the pertinent non-sense. I never said Jackson should have started last year, but it was apparent he was better than Thomas, who blew goats and shouldn't have been 5th on the depth chart. I never said that because a player plays better in pre-season that he will be a star. It was clearly evident Thomas had no burst, Gates showed nothing in pre-season, and Jackson was inactive. Now, continuing that logic it stands to reason that Anthony Thomas couldn't have got first downs last year to save his life. It was clear Gates showed less against the same competition, and wasn't great in camp against Jackson. Reality dictates that coaches play the front-office picks over mid-grade players (not entrenched starters who show up) not because they are better, but to protect the business side of the game with the excitement of the draft. And no, Edwards didn't win the position more than JP got hurt and then called himself out. If JP never got injured he would have played all 16 games. That's reality, something you want to dismiss for your ridiculous assertions I never made.
