They're Using Spiller Correctly...

Well that's the crux of the biscuit right there because I think all those guys have very different body types. -

Tebow + Rex + NYC Media = Sh_t Storm

IMO, saying that Tebow would be a better option than Brad Smith is a matter of conjecture. But I sure hope we add to the Jets misery by destroying them in the finale. It would be a fitting bookend to the season opener. -

Well one of the themes of the Tebow Sweepstakes was that he preferred to go to NYC even over his hometown area of Jacksonville because he and his people saw more opportunity to make endorsement money and build his brand in the bigger media market. According to several reports, Denver put the ball in Tebow's court and Tebow chose NYC. -

Thurman Thomas had a very different body type than Spiller. I've stated ad nauseum over the years here that height/weight tell us very little about bodies. Thurman had a thicker build than Spiller. I'll give you Chris Johnson although he's what some people might call an anomaly. Jamaal Charles in the previous 4 seasons to 2012 has averaged only 12.57 touches per game. Stupid emoticon right back at ya. -

You are wise in the ways of typeface. Sorry I've been so whiny lately. -

Even in the OP's original scenario, the problem is that the Bills have pissed away their margin for error. Sitting at 3-6, the most likely outcome for this season is that the team finishes around .500 and misses the playoffs. No one wants that to happen and yet it very well could. Here's two immutable rules of Bills fandom: 1) Just when you've given up on the team, they'll give you reason for hope. 2) The very moment that you start to feel hopeful again, they shyt the bed. I'm taking things one week at a time with zero expectations for this season.

I'm in the same boat I think. I've assumed that my not watching ESPN ever (except some live sporting events) had to do with having different life priorities. But I also find the product to be more annoying than anything else. It almost embodies everything that is wrong with our media these days. So I'm curious about ESPN's ratings and how they've trended over the last few decades as they compete more and more with pale copycats, the internet, and themselves. Apparently their formula is working or they wouldn't be doing it but on the other hand, I know very few people who watch ESPN. So who's watching ESPN?

Tebow + Rex + NYC Media = Sh_t Storm

The thrashing the Dolphins suffered at the hand of the Titans was a bit of a surprise. Till that point the Dolphins and Talleywhacker (I miss Crayonz) were one of the nice little stories of the season. But yeah, like Coach Tuesday said, this was all so predictable. -

The Philly fans also accuse Reid of misusing McCoy and they're probably right. Personally I think 25 times a game is too much for a person of his build but I guess you guys will get your wish. BTW, we have two somewhat separate issues here: 1) How often he touches the ball 2) How many plays per game he participates in Even as a decoy, I think his value is very high. Also since no one has mentioned it, Gailey said he was going to have them both in the game more often this year. Has anyone tracked this? Total plays for the offense, total plays for each player. Seeing as either one or the other is always on the field it's easy math. -
Kind of surprised that no one started a topic on this. Especially because I know most of you are aware of the very public anonymous criticism of Tebow by his teammates that has appeared in the New York Daily News today. From PFT: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/14/jets-teammate-says-tim-tebow-cant-start-because-hes-terrible/ http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/11/14/tebow-reacts-to-comments-from-teammates-with-sadness/ I also know that everyone here has an opinion on Tebow as shown by this epic, 76 page, 1500 reply thread on The Stadium Wall: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/143716-tebow-is-a-jet-finally/page__hl__tebow It's starting to look like the Jets players are beginning to realize what many fans have been saying: That Tebow doesn't have the skill necessary right now to be a good NFL quarterback. Of course there are many fans who believe the opposite too.

That was annoying wasn't it? He sometimes seems so absorbed in the headphones that he's not clear on what's going on in front of him. Witness for example, the 4th quarter play where Spiller thought he had scored. The officials marked him out at the 5 yard line when replays clearly showed he stepped out at the 4 yard line. In the ensuing confusion the Bills had to burn a timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty. In the aftermath of that play, Gailey should have: 1) Lobbied the officials to put more time back on the clock because of the uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the play OR 2) Thrown the challenge flag to stop the clock and review the spot. The Bills would have gained one yard and more importantly preserved one of their timeouts that they needlessly wasted. Gailey does not seem to be a very good game manager. I did like that we went for it on 4th and 4 and converted. One of the few decisions of his that I've agreed with this season. -
She has been a lightning rod for controversy and criticism. LOL. No more smiling Christmas cards from Han and Hope. BTW, I heard they eloped today. So they are now married.
