  1. From his summary, it sounds like he liked it a lot more than a C-. IMO.
  2. In the Nix era? The last two drafts in my opinion have been incredibly solid, and while there are pieces I like from the first draft (spiller, carrington I think will be consistent contributors) but the last 2 drafts have absolutely blown the first one out of the water. I know this is kind of an odd question to ask but I'm trying to think why these two drafts have been night and day from the first one.
  3. Not to sound like I'm defending Maybin, but honestly we don't know if he asked for this or this is just rex being a douche. Even though he had his run ins with players on the team, it sounds like from what Gailey said that it wasn't like effort was an issue, he just couldn't cut it on the team and that's not necessarily his fault. I'm just saying there are other reasons I'd like to see Maybin get blown up then just Rex naming him a captain. Personally I'd rather C-MAC throw a crushing hit of some sort on Bart Scott who has actually talked shite about Buffalo.
  4. It's going to be a guy they have familiarity with (see Ruvell Martin). I think it'd have to be a no brainer to bring back Aiken.
  5. Rome gives a lot of love to Buffalo but hates Rochester. Wonder why.....
  6. Clayton is about has the same amount of insight in terms of x's and o's, as the rest of the nobs at the mothership(none). All he's good for is really breaking any news. Not saying that Fitz is gonna light the world on fire and we won't be picking early on in the draft, but I'm not gonna be believing it from Clayton.
  7. One of them most likely Greenie will give us 2 wins. Golic might be nice and give us 3. Both are idiots though so it doesn't matter. They had San Fran winning like 13 games last year.
  8. I hate that the only responses to these threads are "stop listening!" And then listen to what? What other stations exclusively talk Sabres and Bills from 3-7? What people really need to do is stop calling in. As bad as these two bafoons are, the people that call in are absolute rock heads and honestly I can't blame them for treating their callers the way they do, especially on the post game shows on sunday. It's embarrassing. WGR has some pretty good talent , and it's more a problem with these two guys being on the air during prime hours, then it has to do with the station as a whole. I definitely enjoy the morning show with howard and jeremy, Brian Kozial(sp?) is good, Joe Buscaglia is great, and now they have coach Sal. These guys are the ones that should be on more during the afternoon.
  9. I'm most looking forward to the following: Whether or not Fitz is a Derek Anderson or not. I like him too much to think he won't be. Dareus Spiller. Need to see him turn the corner. Easley. I think everyone has a relatively good feeling about this kid. Excited to see him. Kelvin Sheppard. My favorite pick of the whole draft. I think he's gonna be huge. Merriman. I'd be excited if he was 75-80% of what he was in SD.
  10. You're all right. We should've been drafting can't miss defensive prospects in the 7th round. There were so many how could we whiff that bad ::rollingeyes::
  11. Boling and Stocker today and we will have officially crushed this draft. Never been so optimistic about a class. Wouldn't be upset if we took more defense in these rounds though. We have so much momentum here that if they continue to nail their defensive guys we could have a very impressive unit in 2 years.
  12. Bowers Houston Wilson Mallett in that order.
  13. I'm usually one of the first to criticize this show. Schopp I swear to god is more concerned with his dog, or his actor drafts, or other random useless shite, than he is about Buffalo sports. That said. Sabre fans are coming off one of the more enjoyable, interesting seasons in awhile, and it's gonna be hard to just kind of "drop it" 2 days after the season ended. The sabres are terribly more interesting then the Bills are right now, and the lockout/picking 3rd knowing we're gonna get someone elite(knock on wood) has really kind of dulled the interest. But I agree, Bulldog is passionate about Buffalo sports but comes off as a bumbling dope, and schopp doesn't like the Bills or really football and has admitted that, and is far more interested in other things unrelated to a sports talk show. It definitely can be difficult to listen to.
  14. You're obviously not watching the right guy if you think Peterson resembles Whitner.
  15. well if that was the case, struggling for a year with him at CB and moving him to safety and in turn have an Ed Reed in our secondary for 10 years, that would be well worth the 3rd pick IMO.
  16. Have actually seen Peterson play? You're just as likely to find a solid pass rusher in the 2nd round as you are at the top of the first, and there is no clear cut QB worth taking at 3. Our secondary is equally depleted as our pass rushing at the moment and you do not want to be relying on McGee who is aging VERY quickly and an inconsistent McKelvin. Patterson can be our Revis and at the same time letting our pass rushers get more time to get after the QB. There shouldn't even be a moment in our heads where we completely throw out the idea of drafting this kid IMO. We're in need of stars and guys who have no questions coming in. He IM0 is the closest thing to a sure thing as there is of the top 5 available players. yeah Peterson sorry. I am playing NBA 2k right now also and I have Patrick Patterson on my team, and his name was in my head haha
  17. other-Patrick Peterson when we draft him 3rd
  18. Sheppard. Jones just looks thin to me.
  19. your "franchise qb" should not come in the 3rd-4th rds these days.
  20. Flacco is still no where near a tier 1 QB in the NFL. Severe overthrow/duck to Heap, underthrows Mason by 3-4 yards, not to mention finding any consistency in the rest of the 2nd half. Just an overall meltdown.
