  1. even with his character concerns and poor showing at the combine so far?
  2. no DE is worth the pick at 10 imo.. they would all be a reach
  3. Chan Gailey.. the most interesting man in the world.
  4. I still like the Spiller pick.. not sure about Troupe and Carrington though.
  5. so maybe a Vincent Jackson or Colston? Dont get me wrong I'd love to see us bring in one of those guys. I just hope it happens.
  6. Fitz is more than capable of getting us to the playoffs next year.
  7. Keep. Unless of course you can find a significant upgrade through free agency and the draft.
  8. yeah I'd take a look at him. He is getting a little up their in age but is still a very good pass rusher.
  9. please no.. I'd much rather take a shot on one of the QB's coming out in the later rounds this year. Kellen Moore's a winner.
  10. it may just be me but none of the possible picks for the defense at number 10 seem exciting.. they all have alot of question marks. I'd much rather look to trade down than make a selection at that spot.
  11. In my opinion Fitz does fit the "gunslinger" mentality and the only way to find out how well he throws the deep ball is to give him a true deep threat.. which is something he has lacked his whole time here. Also if it became clear that we were going to be unable to land one of the top recievers like a Vincent Jackson in freen agency but did address the pass rush early in free agency, would you be more open to this deal?
  12. Thats very true, and you never know what you could be getting out of a 1st rounder. The biggest thing is that this team sorely lacks elite talent, and that's exactly what Mike Wallace is.
  13. I just feel like if we were truly serious about winning next year that this is the type of move this team needs to make. what potential pick at 10 would make as much of an impact for us next year?
  14. Kendall Wright should be an option at 10 as well imo.. so thats why I voted "other." Him and Stevie would provide a heck of a duo for Fitz
  15. Say we were able to retain Stevie and address the pass rush through free agency.. would anyone be willing to give up a 1st rounder in compensation for Wallace? I'd be pretty tempted considering the lack of talent coming out in the draft.
  16. Michael Egnew in the later rounds certainly seems to be a possibility when it comes to TE's
  17. I'm not very high on Mercilus myself. I think in this scenario I would pick Riley Reiff the OT from Iowa.. especially if we dont bring back Bell. If we do retain Bell, than this definitly becomes a tougher choice. Maybe dial up the phone and see how bad Cincy wants Trent Richardson?
  18. yes he's a definite upgrade over Thigpen. But than again.. who isnt? haha
  19. Personally I think I'd prefer Pierre Garcon over Meachem if were looking at 2nd tier recievers. But I'm not sure if Garcon will even hit the market so who knows
  20. This draft just seems to be one of the weaker ones that I can remember over the years, especially at the positions of need for the Bills. Obviously many will agree that the top need for this team to address is the pass rush, but looking at the draft each of the top pass rushers coming out seem to have their fair share of question marks. Here are my thoughts on a few of them. Courtney Upshaw- Well, he certainly has the college routes on his side coming out of Alabama and playing his college ball this past season on one of the best defenses ever in college football. However if you look at him, does he really fit into what Dave Wannstedt is trying to do? He would come in and most likely play opposite of Kelsay at DE, but his sill set just seems oh so very similiar to that of Mr. Kelsay. One of the reasons why Im not sure if he should be the pick at 10 is this.. does he really address our pass rush issue? Also one of most important things for a DE to be able to do is bat down balls at the line of scrimmage, and only being 6-2 I kind of question whether he could do this as well as we would like. Quinton Coples- he certainly has the size and experience on his side coming out as a Senior from UNC.. and in my opinion fits a little better into our 4-3 than Upshaw does. However, whenever I watched him this past season he just really didnt stick out to me and you could definitly see that he took some plays off. This alone makes me pass on him at number 10. Whitney Mercilus- Mercilus may have the most potential out of all the projected first rounders coming out this year. He had a heck of a year this past season with Illinois and also has the size that would allow him to come right in and fit well into our 4-3. The thing thats worries me about him is the fact that he has only had 1 good year of production in college, and you have to wonder what you would be getting out of him if you took him at ten. Because it could really range anywheres from being the next JPP to the next Aaron Maybin. In general I would say stay away from one year wonders, especially if you have a top 10 pick. Melvin Ingram- When looking at this man you can clearly see he is a heck of an athlete. How many d-lineman can you honestly say you've seen play on the hands team for onside kicks in college? Not many thats for sure. But standing at only 6-2 his height and size also worries me.. now im sure people will say that its crazy to criticize someone because of their height.. but if your the Bills dont you want to make sure you absolutely nail this pick? Also what seperates him from the other players coming out at his position? In general all of the players listed above including Ingram seem very iffy when it comes to whether they can address our pass rush concerns. My thoughts on pick number 10: If I were the Bills I would go all out in free agency to try and land one of the top rushers availabale.. whether that be Mario Williams, Robert Mathis, Jeremey Mincey, John Abraham, or even Mark Anderson because myself personally would not want to risk a top 10 draft pick on one of the pass rushers I talked about earlier. This way in the 1st we can look at maybe giving Fitz another top wideout in either Michael Floyd or Kendall Wright or depending on what happens in free agnecy maybe someone who can protect his blindside in either Riley Reiff or Jonathan Martin. Than in the second round one guy that I really like is Ronnell Lewis the LB out of Oklahoma.. this would address our OLB postion and fill another large need on our football team. Any thoughts or opinions are welcome. Go Bills!
  21. I just dont see all the hype with Upshaw or any of the other DE's coming out.. they all have question marks and none of them are perfect fits for Wannstedt's defense. Call me crazy but if Reiff wasnt on the board I would look one of the recievers.. either Michael Floyd or Kendall Wright.
  22. our corners never seem to be able to cover the big and physical recievers.. am i right?
  23. i like how someone over there said that the chiefs got better but we got worse since last yr. what a joke.
