  1. It makes so much sense. So much for "objective observation." You like Milloy, even though he's over the hill and hasn't been at his prime in years. You got pissed that the Bills let him go, which is why you hate Whitner, his replacement. Its like the JP-Trent syndrome, only with our safeties. Your boy got cut, so you have nothing but vitriol for his replacement.

milloy is getting old, yet he's still better than whitner, kinda sad

  2. Thank god you're not the GM--

Do you know anything about cap penalties?

Look, if they can sign Greer, then do it. If not, oh well... just don't pay him like the Raiders just paid Asomugha... same w/ Crowell. But I'd rather see them make a serious offer to Haynesworth and let both of them go elsewhere.

That said, you can't sign all three.

We can't just cut a bunch of people and sign all of the free agents out there.

why not, schobel and kelsay suck, poz sucks to but he's young so i;m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt

  3. I'm surprised that people don't think a little more of Crowell. We really have a need at outside linebacker and he was pretty good when he was healthy. He would be a huge upgrade over Ellison and with his injury history, I'll bet we can retain him relatively cheaply.

Otherwise, it's just another need position to fill. We have enough of those.

Crowell is an above average linebacker and should be resigned. if you cut schobel and kelsay(they suck) and sign greer, crowell, and haynesworth, we'd be alot better off. the position that still needs an upgrade is MLB, poz sucks

  4. I don't understand why people are so willing to give Trent the benefit of the doubt but they were unwilling to give it to JP. Yes JP played TERRIBLE in his 2 games in 08, but I think much of that can be due to the fact he was playing in an offense designed to suit Trents strengths not his. He did not throw long to Evans even once which everyone knows is JP's strength. I hope Trents fan club is correct & he is the 2nd comming of Joe Montana but he has not shown me ANYTHING yet. Montana threw for TOUCHDOWNS, Trent hasn't even thrown for 1TD per game that is just PITIFUL.

trent represents the mediocrity of the entire franchise. he can't throw, he's always hurt, and he doesn't like buffalo. other than that, he's super

  5. until people stop buying tickets and supporting ralp[h's moronic mangement abilities. The only time he ever fixed the team in the past was when people stopped going to the games ie bringing in chuck knox, bringing in bill polian. as soon as people start buying tickets again he returns to his meddling cheap pos mode and we end up with people like ringo, bullough, kay stephenson, and dick juaron. so keep buying those season tickets we can keep watching crappy football

  6. No way.

He is a finesse center who played in a pass happy offense. Doesn't do much for handling the big men of Wilfork, Jenkins and Ferguson in our run game.

Playing here, in the cold, against those big guys, he'd probably look worse than Preston.

what is a "finesse center who plays in a pass happy offense". you sure do know your football

  7. You are missing the fact that we need 53 players. 35 million under Ralph's fake cap isn't that much when you still have roster spots to fill.

what you're missing is that ralph would rather stick that 35 million in his pocket rather than eat juarons contract or pay his good players like jackson what they are worth

  8. You may be right, but (a) I figured in extending Peters and Reed and (b) escalators are probably still a small portion of the total. If these numbers are anywhere near right, the Bills have a ton of money to spend, even under "cash to cap".....

cmon, ralph just made the hof, he's a genius

  9. Look at the body of work the guy put in. One of the AFL founders, that "foolish club" moniker wasn't meant to be ironic. He floated personal loans to keep it going, played a huge role in getting tv contracts and the merger. He has been the voice of the small market for 40 years. He's had good teams (those 60's teams were first rate and the Kelly era and Simpson era teams were very good. He deserves to be in the Hall and its wonderful they did it while he was still alive.

he doesn't deserve it and green bay is the voice of the small market

  10. He wasn't inducted for what he did for the Bills, he was inducted for what he did for the NFL (and most importantly for small market franchises). Do you really think he was put in the HOF as an honor for his success in Buffalo? Of course not. He's in the HOF because he was a pioneer of the AFL, the merger would probably not have happened without him, and he is an important and well respected (outside of Buffalo apparently) figure in the league. It's the Pro Football Hall of Fame, not the Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame. You can't look at the scenario through the eyes of a fan.

By the way, 95% of other owners would have moved the team by now, so you should be a little bit more grateful. Success or no success, Ralph Wilson IS the Buffalo Bills. I would shake his hand and congratulate him if I could.

so it's ok that he's a crappy football guy, but supposedly did alot for the afl (I'd say Hunt did alot more). I've watched this guy milk all the money he could over the years out of the fans of western ny and the state and we should be grateful??? He might have made even more if he wasn't such an idiot, and he's lost a small fortune by not selling the team a couple of years ago

  11. Well I thought I had a good two pages of discussion prior to your post....thats kind of what I was going for, to discuss my issue with fellow Bills fans.

Back to the discussion, the problem is they have a whole bunch of players who can't block and tackle, and an owner who can't seem to build an organization like pittsburghs where they get a bunch of players who can block and tackle

  12. I have watched him make mistake after mistake over the last 40 years all in the name of being a cheap POS. The team has made him a billionaire and all he can do is give a crappy football team year after year. Throw on top of it all of the money the government has given him (does welfare queen sound about right), and you've got a recipe for a complete joke of an owner. He makes Al Davis look like a rocket scientist. when he kicks, even if the team is moved, they'll be better off

  13. While I certainly appreciate Fred Jackson, the fact is he will be paid a minimum of nearly $1.4 MILLION dollars for 3 years work after coming from a D-III school, arena ball and NFL Europe. I'd offer more like a million a year and a million SB which is a huge raise and gives him some security. Buckhalter made $1M this year and he would be paid more than other change of pace guys like MJD, JJ Arrington, Jerious Norwood etc.

Guys like Lynch, McFadden and AP are currently earning $2.5 M.

yeah, it's much better to pay schobel and kelssay alot more and they suck
