I'll never forget the Jets home game in 2011. We were 5-2 coming in. The two loses were by 3 points each on the road to the Giants and Bengals. We were fresh off a 23-0 shutout win against the Skins in TO, when someone thought it would be a good idea of honor Scott Norwood at halftime of the Jets game at the Ralph. The game was 3-0 before at the half the "ceremony." The crowd was so uneasy "honoring" Norwood. The second half kicked off and we were outscored 17-3 in the third quarter on our way to a 27-11 loss. Not only did the team lose this game to drop to 5-3, they lost the next six to fall out of playoff contention and finish the season 6-10. Curse of Norwood? I say, melt them down and send Doug Flutie a 24K apology card for benching him in the 1999 playoffs. Exercise the demons.

This... I was the first to reply to the bully post and it was a response to the phrasing, not the poster. It was also a new thread on RI that came on the heels of numerous "we should sign" Ingocnito threads. I like the inside info and welcome it more than anyone, but it's the way it's presented that will dictate the board's response. Once someone proves them self an insider they are, however, god around these parts. Never give up hasn't posted in years, yet we still pray for him to emerge each March.

I've been a season ticket holder for 8 years and this is the second increase in that time, I believe. I'm fine with it if T. Pegs wants to take in a little more dough to make it rain during free agency. At least it's not just a pure money grab. Our new owner has already dropped serious coin on the franchise and is poised to do much more.

My fear is that we let Hughes walk because we think we have a shot at Revis. Then Revis turns around and resigns with the Pats and we don't end up with either. Could happen and that's what worries me here. A Hughes in the hand is worth a Revis in the bush!?

The notion that the offense will be worse if we sign Revis is flawed in my book. Yes more money will be allocated to an already stacked D, but we'd let Hughes and Spikes walk in this instance, which is almost comparable to what we'd end up paying Revis. We have a fair amount of cap space to play with and we're surely going to save more money by cutting guys like Pears. Also, the Roman hire alone will do more for this team than people expect. Having him in the fold will improve the team greatly before we even look to add additional pieces to the O in the offseason. No more Wilson is cheap and buddy is asleep at the wheel in Buffalo.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but have a theory: Polian gets elected to hall this weekend and then announces he's joining the bills. We're still looking for a czar and it's far from the lift he might of thought it to be post Dougie. The franchise seemed hot to hire someone for this role and we haven't heard much since Polian "turned them down." I'm probably wrong, but seems Infinitily plausible that he didn't want to jeopardize getting elected.
