  1. Versus Mr. WEO, whose pomposity factor is 1.1 (i.e. 110%). Which makes him calling-out Deano even more ridiculous.
  2. I don't know how much Thomas has left (unlike Runyan and Jones who as I said, are done). If there is something, exploring a trade would be a good idea. And this is another reason why the draft should be held before FA. You don't know who you will get in the draft, while you at least have an idea who you can get in FA.
  3. Yes, stripping the Patriots of their titles, versus saying "nothing to see here, move along" (while fining them the maximum for "nothing" after hurriedly burning the tapes, in Nixonian fashion) would be SO much better for the league. You are beyond delusional, poser.
  4. I "don't seem to care?" Try paying attention once in awhile, pally. I said Lynch deserved to get nailed for having the gun. But that the suspension by Goodell was bullshiit, given his past actions/inactions when it came to first-time player offenses, especially the example you gave in Tank Johnson.
  5. I know you fancy yourself an expert on everything, when you are far from it (although I have no doubt that you are indeed an expert on flatus), but do yourself a favor and ask an attorney (as I did) about the success rate of trying to get a client cleared of a valid gun charge, by claiming illegal search based on cops thinking they saw and smelled pot, even if there is no proof of that allegation. Beyond that, keep in mind that the cops said they approached the vehicle because of improper license plates. What would have had to be argued is what constitutes probable cause. And again, the absurdity of the DNA and fingerprint on the "blunts," which again were conveniently never retrieved, is only matched by believing the cops when they said they didn't charge anyone because no one admitted they were his. Bahahaha! That's about as laughable as Belchick "not understanding" the illegal videotaping rule. Actually chief, I have proof of them being caught cheating after having been warned about it in the year before, and proof that they have been doing it since 2000, when Belchick arrived. So there goes the "it didn't help" lame excuse, because no one does something for long periods of time, when there are significant risks involved, unless it helps. I also have a long-standing rule which forbids it, obviously because it's an unfair advantage, which was "clarified" the year before the Patriots got caught, again. What I don't have is ANY OTHER TEAM being implicated in doing it, much less charged, so there goes the "everyone did it" bullshiit. Regurgitate all the worthless anecdotes you want from the irreproachable Jimmy Johnson you want, or the "it was no big deal" quotes from people who stand to lose more than investigating the Patriots would have gained. And I know you want to subsume this under some sort of conspiracy theory, because conspiracy theorists are nuts. Do what you want. I don't consider a "conspiracy" so much as it's a business decision to try and limit the damage, with a simple "drop it" edict being given to coaches and players, and by extension, to the media. This is just football. It's not, say, the CIA "misleading" congress. And no one truly believes the Patriots didn't cheat. Even Patriots fans. Though they've done a good job of trying to convince themselves otherwise.
  6. Exactly. And all that I care about is he hasn't failed a drug test. At least that we know of.
  7. What TO would like and what he can get are two different things. Not saying this report is true, but after the first 2 house-hunting experiences, getting out of OP might be what he felt he needed to do.
  8. Finishing 2nd in the AFC in negative yardage plays is great, considering Schobel missed over 2/3 of the season and was probably hobbled for the 5 games he did play. And for the stunt Crowell pulled at the last minute, thrusting former backup Keith Ellison into a starting role overnight.
  9. WRT Lynch, let's be clear on one thing: there allegedly was marijuana found in his car. The cops claim they saw "blunts" but didn't charge anyone because no one admitted they were his. That's probably the most retarded excuse I've ever heard. Maybe Kaczur should have used that line.
  10. People believe all sorts of things. And they'll go to every length possible to make excuses despite evidence to the contrary. Hell some people still think OJ is innocent.
  11. They're both washed-up.
  12. What did you expect? That the other owners would agree to a full scale investigation into the Patriots, which could potentially uncover that they've had indeed been cheating, thus necessitating the league stripping them of their SB wins? For all the world to see? Yeah, that might have happened.
  13. Only Stroud is an NFL starter? Someone better tell Aaron Shcobel that!
  14. I guess we've exposed who the Patriots fans and who the intelligent fans, are.
  15. Did he shake the kid's hand afterwards? Then again, it's hard to shake hands with an iron fist.
  16. Because Jermaine's songs basically sucked?
  17. Yeah, it wasn't a big deal. That's why the Commish docked the Patriots a 1st rounder, and fined Belichick $500K and the Patriots $250K, which is the maximum penalty he could levy. This after hurriedly destroying the videotapes. After the NFL (via Ray Anderson, Executive VP of football operations) circulated a memo saying that illegal videotaping would be punished severely, reportedly because the Patriots were nabbed by the Packers and Giants on separate occasions. Again, who does something if it's of little to no advantage, for 8 years, and if there are serious consequences? If it were truly "no big deal," Goodell would have allowed the videotapes to be examined, said that "all teams do it" to minimize the bad press/suspicion toward their flagship team, and given them a slap on the wrist, such as taking-away a 5th rounder, like the 49'ers for tampering ("everyone does it" and "it's no big deal") with Lance Briggs. But hey, Barry Bonds did steroids. So what? Everyone did them. And they were no big deal. They can't make you hit a ball. I know everyone hates him because he's a prick, but he's no more of one than Belichick. So get off his back.[/facetiousness]
  18. Yeah, right. That's why they videotaped illegally for 8 years, continued to do it after getting warned about it (in 2006), and why NO ONE ELSE was ever implicated. It's all just about a bitter employee (what was that about excuses, again). Pure gold! And if you want to talk about nullifying the Broncos' SB wins for (legal) cut blocking, we should definitely nullify that first Patriots SB for that ridiculous "tuck" call in the Raiders playoff game.
  19. I've given him enough BOTD. Now it's time to produce. Trent has NO excuses this year. None. If the offense doesn't play well, he's gone, as will be the majority of the coaches.
  20. A DT from s Canadian school, IIRC. That's without reading the article.
  21. The cheating pretty much destroyed the "dynasty" talk, as did the SB loss in 2007. And with the Steelers winning 2 SB's since then and having fans all over the country...
  22. As I told Superfan Mr. WEO, there is nothing that TO can do to the team to make things any worse. I doubt anyone would say this team has any significant form of chemistry, given the way they've failed to make the playoffs, and especially how they faded badly after that great start last year. So "disrupting" that is hardly an issue. And most fans wanted Jauron gone, and a bad season by the team will accomplish that, so if that happens, BFD. And if Schonert and Edwards can't produce a good offense with the weapons they now have at their disposal, they don't belong as major players in the NFL. It's as simple as that. And then TO is gone. Although you can be sure that he'll still give you a great season, like he did in his brief time in 2005 while he was trying to get himself out of Philly over his contract, and last year while the Cowboys were struggling to get their QB to be a leader.
  23. The Patriots haven't won the SB since 2004, were caught cheating, and instead of erasing talk of "Spygate" by winning it all in 2007, were the victims of one of the biggest upsets in NFL history. The Steelers are America's team now.
  24. Yes but Tom Brady, he's soooo dreamy. Ben Rothlieafdsafggrberger, not so mcuh.
