  1. oops did not see that post as i just came on to see if anything was happening with coles,,,,,,for mei would try to get toomer for a one or two year deal,,,,,his own blog says he only wants to play for a couple more years
  2. I would be a huge supporter of amani toomer as a bill,,,,at 6 3 and a veteran he still has enough in the tank for a year or two, until hardy gets healthy or johnson develops,,,,,,if coles falls through I would love to see toomer in a bills uniform, cap friendly, reliable and rangy.
  3. Point is last year during Free Agency, this team had crying needs for a tight end and wide receiver,,,,we did nothing to address those issues and paid for it with another 7-9. So understand why fans are peeved as the Pats, Jets, Dolphins bolster their roster while we sit on our thumbs.
  4. scout, inc has him ranked lower than both fowler and preston, for what its worth
  5. was on the bbmb for years,,,,this is much better
  6. rich glad you mentioned Larry Wilson, because he played in the sixties, and on a mediocre team, is not as well remembered,,,,,but in my mind was the best to ever play the position,,,,, which leads to the question of the best safety every to play for the bills,,,,,think that award goes to George Saimes
  7. am 57 saw my first bills game in their inaugeral season, in the days of buster ramsey, richie lucas, elbert dubenion, I think the outlook is grim, RW has lost his will to win and if the team survives his passing and stays in buffalo, then i think things will get better as new ownership would bring new direction and fresh energy.
  8. the terms "bills front office" and "off season strategy" do not belong in the same sentence
  9. i have had sunday ticket for seven years, starting with the bledsoe era, and frankly with the cost of the ticket continually ncreasing and the quality of bills play decreasing, i am thinking of not getting it in 2009. Like someone earlier said i will just go to a bar if i want to watch the bills. i have been a bills fan since 1961, my dad took me to a bills game in there first year of existence and have been a fan for 47 years,,,, RW, give us a reason to follow this team
  10. "Of course, I wasn’t the only one. It was great to watch Bills’ away games in sunny climes and hear a huge roar from the visiting crowd when something good happened to Buffalo. When DirecTV surveyed its Sunday ticket customers this year, it found that Bills fans were among the largest and most loyal among the displaced fandom in the sunbelt. The Bills dispora is large and is everywhere. " As another displaced billsfan in Montana, I thought this was an interesting quote considering buffalo is considered a small market. I agree, this article nails it, am not enthused about renewing sunday ticket, and this year for the first time did not make an annual trip back to watch the bills. I have been a bills fan since the beginning (47 years),, but hard to get excited about a team that does not have a commitment from the owner to win.
  11. i agree,,,,,,,its just disappointing that a man of the stature of Ralph Wilson does not care what type of product he tries to sell us,,,,,,i used to think he cared about winning
  12. I been a fan for 47 years,,,, and i think it is the lowest point,,,,and that is saying something
  13. Chris, the words Dick Jauron and sense of urgency is an oxymoron
  14. russ brandon said the bills play was "totally unacceptable" i doubt he wants to keep jauron and maybe he influences ralph
  15. Ralphs idea with fixing the problems in the front office is to "give Tom Modrak more power". evidently RW likes the management by consensus approach because then no one is really in charge,,,,,, except him.
  16. Currently we have no "proven" front office personnal,,,,Brandon is marketing genius, but hasn't translated those skills as a football guy. Rest of personell (Modrak, Guy) is questionable at best.
  17. It does start at the top. In the last 35 years, outside of the Kelly-Thomas-Bruce Smith era, when has this team been a Serious contender? Outside of the Bill Polian regime, our front office has always been out manuevered.
  18. there is a lack of leadership in the front office, lack of coaching leadership and lack of leaders on the field,,,,, is there one bill (except possibly whitner when healthy) the rest of the team rallies around? The miami game showed this up,,,,,From Bill Parcells, to coaching staff to Joey Porter and Chad Pennington, Miami has organized leadership throughout the organization that we lack,,,,hence, they turn their team around in one year while we regress.
  19. nevertheless, the point is valid that the last true impact player the bills have brought in was Takeo Spikes. Evans is a good player, but not the game changer we need for whatever reason. This is more the fault of the front office (and wilson) than the coaches. Not defending DJ, but you have to go back to the Polian-Butler years to see a bills team with true talent.
  20. Bills coaches pay for errors by front office Bob DiCesare Updated: 12/10/08 6:36 AM I think he hit the nail on the head.

At 57 years of age i guess its time Its cool i am getting married, and it is very cool i won't miss a bills game! P.S. wanted the bills shout song as the wedding march,,,but was overruled
