I don't remember saying anything overly positive about our head coach. He is who he is... I don't know why TD slected him or the constraints that he was under when he made that choice. It certainly wasn't me who voted in ANY internet poll...

There is an old saying about corners and why they aren't WR's... Who was the last CB we had that had as much talent as him? For YEARS we have been plagued with DBs that can't catch for crap. Thomas Smith, Antoine Winfield... We have bad team with no direction. We are fundamentally flawed and that affects the good players too. I think Nate is a better corner than some of his games this year. If he leaves, we better have a plan that will make the team better. Getting rid of him for the sake of vengence is counter-productive to building a winning program.

this is where you lose ALL objectivity. Nate is playing football and he tackled a guy. He wouldn't have come down half as hard if another guy didn't come along and smack him after Nate "no heart" took the guy off his feet. It was a ticky-tack foul called on NC. To go off on him for that just means you have turned into another hater... Nothing Nate can do or say will be good enough for you anymore.

Nate is already under contract. What peripheral player did he sign that prevented us from signing him? Why did Philly let him go? They usually sign their top-flight YOUNG talent and let only the old guys and malcontents go.

It is funny how every criticism comes in a vacuum. We complain mightly about our lack of DTs and lack of pass rush, when that has a direct impact on corners. We complain about the poor schemes of our DC. We complain about the poor play of our safeties. Yet, when all these adversely affect one of our most talented players - he is a bum too? I don't see it. Nate can play corner and he will make a good defensive team better.

So, instead of yelling at Nate every week, you want to yell at Eric King? This is a solution to you? Sounds like a solid plan to me...

I'd suggest actually having an inkling of who might take the field in his place. I know that is crazy talk to people in Pennsultucky, but it is just the way we do things here in the city. If you want to shoot 1st and ask questions later - then go ahead. Clements has a ton of talent and I'm not going to throw the baby out with the bathwater because of what has happened this season.

again, this is the tired old "replace someone with no one" strategy of building a team. It is easy to say we need X in the abstract, w/o actually plugging in someone who is available.

Names? I'm assuming you want to upgrade the position. Who are you going to put there with more talent than Nate?

Ron Wolf gets mentioned by every team, every year looking to make a change. Why would he come out of retirement for this job?

Actually having someone you want to hire and who would want to be employed at OBD would make too much sense.

This is a big mistake in my opinion... People like tradition and PT has a long one. This short term money grab will backfire IMHO.

If you don't know what happened or why - how can you declare this to be his "poorest decision"?
