I know what you mean... Wasn't Max causing a royal rumpus and acting out for his mother... She sent him to bed with no supper... My bleeding heart always thought tha was harsh, holding out food... Max does wake up to find his supper waitng for him though! That story alone was enough that I towed the line most of the time... I think children are more sophisticated now... Then again... Max had to tame the wildest of the wildest and look into their beaty eyes! IMO, kinda like landing on an island full of cannibals and head hunters! You know what creeps me out too and always did... Gary Gray of "Negotiator, Friday and The Italian Job (2003)" fame, has me leading to believe that "Law Abiding Citizen" might be another quality effort. Plus, it was shot here in Philadelphia and that's a plus for me anyways. Just like "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg & Kate Mara a few years back. Now, I love Ricky Gervais; 'Ghost Town' was hugely entertaining and his older stuff 'The Office and "Extras" were tops as well. I saw about ten minutes of "...Lying" earlier today, and like I've said before, I can't see paying for a ticket to see a comedy in the theater. I can wait two months to watch it in the privacy of my own HT on blu-ray. "Basterds" is already due out in the UK this December. I'm not a big horror fan, but I picked up "Drag Me to Hell" (Sam Raimi) on Tuesday. It features Alison Lohman, so I had to buy it. Man, was that good, and it was PG 13. He pushed the rating scale to the limit. It was excellent, with many cringing scenes. Much better than all those damn zombie pictures. The video quality and audio mix are tight as well; gave my system a full workout. The surrounds were in full force for at least 65% of the film. Nah Rendell cleaned it up. It's actually a very nice city. Growing up in the 80's the subways were really dirty and reeked, CC was a toxic waste dump. Trash, cards, drugs, dice. You want it, you could have found it within a two block radius. But all those independently owned electronic and record stores were simply the best. Four couples settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on their marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort's therapy sessions is not optional. The ensemble cast includes, Jason Bateman, Faizon Love, Kristin Davis, Malin Akerman, Kristen Bell, Jean Reno, Kali Hawk & Temuera Morrison. Saw it this weekend.
