The best part of this thread is all of the respondents who now claim "Butler was our best O-lineman last year". At least some of them made the same claim about Peters, our former reigning "best O-lineman last year".

Who's our next "best O-lineman last year"----Melvin Fowler?

When people said Peters was the best O-lineman last year, I think they were referring to his talent level, NOT his play last year.

1. Whitner, 5million fish a year and he has just not earned it yet.

2. Butler, Right Tackle will be his last attempt to establish himself as a pro. (terrible IMO at right gurad last year)

3. Kelsay, although not really a surprise.

4. Roscoe, IMO the only person in this group who was productive last year. Will come down to WR # and money.

cut Roscoe??? one of our 3 home run threats....OK..... Butler??? he is our most promising O lineman from last yr.

WTF?

It's this kind of mumbo jumbo that makes this a funny topic.

What do you not understand about that? A players talent level is his ability to play the game at a certain level. MANY times players do not play up to their talent level, especially players that are not motivated. Sometimes they play better than their talent level, like when they are MOTIVATED, in a contract year for example. If you watch football at all Mr. WEO I am sure you have seen players have GREAT years in their contract year when they sucked the previous 2 or 3 years because they were not motivated. Peters was not in a contract year & was not motivated last year. That does not take away from his talent level however, & Philly is betting when motivated with a new contract, he will play well again.

1. You can't spell "elaborated"

2. You don't know what "elaborated" means

3. You actually think we're just going to up and cut Whitner.

Credibility.......gone

Invariably, pearls of wisdom like this come from 300 or less postings posters.
