If Mack drops that close to our 42nd pick, i think we trade up like we did for Poz.

Unfortunately, with the holes we have on our roster,

we can't afford to have our second and third pick only account for one player.

IMHO both times they traded up recently (for Poz and McCargo) it turned out to be a mistake.

Poz is a league average starter, McCargo is a bust.

I hope not. They need all their picks this draft, IMO. This is a make or break draft for them right now.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Sanchez do a Brady Quinn fall through the draft.

It's not bad to be an average player when it's basically your first year.

Although the consensus seems to be that he's better than Unger, it seems like the consensus is also that they're pretty close. I don't know Fingon...I think it's too pricey.

Moving up from #42 to #38 equals 40 points on the draft trade chart.

That means to trade up 4 spots we'd have to give up our fifth round pick at #147 and our 7th round pick at #220.

In other words our 5th and our 7th to move up 4 spots.

The other feature of this mock is that Eric Wood and Duke Robinson are still on the board and might possibly be available in the 3rd round with our pick, #75. I'd hope that one of the O-linemen fall to us in the 3rd and I would take Ziggy Hood in the 2nd.

Of course my preference would mean that tight end would be pushed down to the 4th round.

Both picks are reaches. I will be happy if we went with the following 3 as our top 3 picks, although they may not fall to us

1. Rey Maualuga, MLB, USC

2. Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss

3. T.J. Lang, OT, Eastern Michigan

I could see all three starting immediately

Do you mean you think that Everette Brown and Max Unger are the reaches?

FYI, In 2007, we traded up from #43 to #34 (9 spots) and it cost us our 3rd round pick, #74 to pick Poz.

Again a pretty steep price I think.

By the way, using the draft trade chart, the Bills overpaid to get Poz. The difference between #43 and #34 is 90 points. Our 3rd round pick, #74 was worth 220 points. So we overpaid by 130 points.

Boy they must have really loved Poz.

And yes, both the Poz trade and the McCargo trade have not turned out, even though I'm still a Poz fan and think he can still justify the Bills' stupidity in overpaying.

Yes. I think Brown can put up big numbers and be a better version of Schobel as far as the pass rush, but I think he will be a liability against the run. Unger us an underrated player, but definitely not a first day pick- I wouldn't take him before the 5th round.

A slightly better version of Schobel as far as a pass rusher goes, means Everette Brown will lead the league in sacks a few years. That ain't half bad for a reach. We are looking for a pass rush specialist according to the FO. The problem is that it's looking more and more likely somebody is going to reach in the top ten and take Brown before us.

I don't mind Brown as the 1st Pick...IMHO The Bills MUST add a DE/Pass Rusher with the Pick at #11...Whether it's Brown, Ayers, Jackson, Maybin if He slides a bit...It matters not to Me...As long as The Bills get someone who can get to the QB with that Pick I'm OK with it...

In the 2nd (based on this Mock) I'd rather see the TE Ingram go to The Bills...I REALLY like the way that Kid looks...As long as Our Doctors say He's OK I'd LOVE to see Him in Buffalo...I think he's a 1st round talent who is being pushed down a bit by the injury...I realize He's WAY raw and not the best Blocker right now...But I think the sky is the limit for that Kid once He gets a Year or two of Pro Coaching...Plus I think The Bills need another Player named Cornelius to turn this thing around...

In the 3rd a LB or an OG...In the 4th whatever they don't get in the 3rd... :w00t:
