Paranoid gun nuts flock to gun stores!

Stinger Missiles are arms. ICBM's are arms. Stealth Bombers are arms. Why can't I buy any of these?

You got money you can buy whatever you want. There was a person who used to post here who is no longer with us who would probably been able to have filled an order for any of those.

There are only a few Stealth Bombers in existence and the current owner of all of them is unlikely to want to sell them.

There are many more ICBMs in existence, but again the current owners are unlikely to want to sell them. If you had tried a couple years ago, you may have found a willing partner in Russia. But now they seem to want to hold onto their ICBMs

Stinger missles on the other hand, you can get ahold of....if the price is right

Actually, you can buy an ICBM. Boeing sells them. They're called "launch vehicles", and used to put satellites in orbit.

You could probably buy a B-2, as well...if you could pay Northrop to build it, and if the government licensed you the proprietary and very secret technology. I know you can buy warships and jet planes - combat vessels occasionally come up for government auction every now and then, and I once saw a MiG-21 being auctioned (private auction, not federal government) for a half-million dollar reserve. People also privately own tanks (a friend of a friend in VA has several hundred acres he uses for tooling around in his). And I know of at least one case where a person owned, if not an entire Nike AAM, at least all the parts for it.

Stingers, though...tough to own legally, since the sale of them is theft of government property, hence illegal.

How much does the weapon alone cost?
You can get a semi-auto AR-15 for around $900-$1500 depending on model and accessories...A full auto one would cost around $5000. Nope, not an everyday expenditure for most of us.

Here's another genius.

A man who police believe was shot and killed by his 8-year-old son had consulted a Roman Catholic priest about whether the boy should handle guns and had taught him how to use a rifle, the clergyman said Saturday.

The father, Vincent Romero, 29, was from a family of avid hunters and wanted to make sure the boy wasn't afraid of guns, said the Very Rev. John Paul Sauter of St. Johns Catholic Church. The boy's stepmother had suggested he have a BB gun, the priest said.

Romero taught his son how to use a rifle to kill prairie dogs, Sauter said. Police say the boy used a .22-caliber rifle Wednesday to kill his father and another man, Timothy Romans, 39, of San Carlos.

Yep. Been to Maine quite a lot. Rockport.

We like the shedders. Always sweet, tender & tasty!
