Question for hunters

Recommended Posts

There's only 2 reasons that I don't hunt...One I like to be in bed at 4am. Two, I'm worried one of the wackos from out of state are going to shoot me since they shoot at anything and everything that moves.

I can't help you with the 4 am thing, but I have found that most of the opening day hunters don't travel far from roads, so I just get in shape and hike to the places no one else will.

Sitting in a treestand waiting for your prey might just be the closest think there is to Heaven on earth, at least it is for me.

I have come home empty handed and still had the best day afield because I saw something that amazed me while I waited, things that you would never see at Wegmans.

Killing isn't the only reason I go out, but eating something I harvested has a special appeal to me.

No scent lures, calls, or salt licks, I hope...
