I just want to put the question out there: Who do you believe to be the top five FA moves made by any team since say, 1999, when we last went to the playoffs. Limited, I think, to players who were legitimately expected to be super stars, and not the sort of 'miracle move' of a guy coming from nowhere and dominating. Offhand, I can think of these:

1.) Willie Roaf, Chiefs

2.) La'Roi Glover, Cowboys

3.) Pat Williams, Vikings

4.) Stephen Davis, Panthers

5.) Jerry Rice, Raiders

Ther's gotta be better, though, right?

Even though I thought San Diego did the right thing by going with Rivers.

Number one in my book is: Drew Brees. He helped revitilize the entire New Orleans franchise.

He was the triggerman to a very exciting offense( that won games) and became a pillar in the community.

We also have just seen the beginning of their success!

Not sure I understand the criteria.....basically FA moves that were made where the player (who wasn't a superstar) ended up being as good as expected and it helped the team? Like a role-player? I'm kinda confused.

Criteria aside, I don't think any of the one's listed are particularly noteworthy...maybe Roaf.

Was bored so I did some quick research.....some are better than others.

In no particular order.....

Dilfer to the Ravens and Brad Johnson to Tampa (both won the SB),

Steve McNair to the Ravens has been pretty good,

maybe Dillon to the Pats?,

Warrick Dunn to ATL,

Stallworth to NO,

Ogunleye to CHI (was that a trade?),

Hovan to TB (down in sacks but stayed consistant in tackles),

London Fletcher to BUF,

Corey Chavous to STL,

Will Demps to NYG?,

Rodney Harrison to NE,

Milloy to BUF,

Samari Rolle to BAL?

Woodson to GB (8 INTs),

Bold moves are trades - Rodney Harrison probably deserves top five billing.

I'd throw Antoine Winfield in there. The Vikes paid out the ass for him, but he's continued his big-hitting ways in run support, and has tallied 11 INT's in 3 seasons there, after compiling only 6 INT's in 5 seasons in Buffalo.

Shows you what defensive line pressure can do, huh?

Terrel Owens to Cowboys?

Takeo Spikes to Bills?

Jevon Kearse to Eagles?

Adam Vinatieri to Colts?
