My 2007 Buffalo Bills.

2003

Recommended Posts

Well, today I stayed home from school because I got my heart ripped out by my Mets, so I thought showing off my Marv Levy skills to you guys would cheer me up.

Without furter ado, here are your Super Bowl 42 champs!

Re-signings- Mike Gandy... F-off, Nate Clements... Adios! Andre Davis... Siyanora! Regign London Fletcher.

Free Agency-

1. Floyd Womack- I remember the Bills were very interested in this guy and he could come in immediately and compete for a starting guard spot.

2. Dwight Freeney- Call me crazy, but I can very well see him signing with the Bills. He went to Syracuse, is from Connecticut, and the Bills would die to have a great DE like him.

Super Bowl 42 here we come!!

I appreciate the thoughts, but that team looks worse than this years. WR core and TE's worry me. D-line is weak (for now at least) and only one upgrade on the o-line. Also, the cb's don't look too strong. Week-by-week this team is showing me they have more holes than many originally forecasted.

PorkChop would just be another subpar signing like Reyes was. Pass.

Also, the Bills have almost no shot at Joe Thomas. We suck, but with our soft schedule, we won't suck enough to get a top 5 pick this season. Between GB, Houston, Jets, Miami, and Tennessee, we should go 4-1 there and get to 6 wins, which knocks us out of the top 5.

If you wan another OT in the first round, a guy I really like is Doug Free from Northern Illinois.

I agree with this, but the free agency market this year is very below average. But Eric Johnson would be a viable option at TE.

Yea, I think Joe Thomas is top 2 material, but don't be surprised to see Joe Staley in a Bills uniform, the guy is a stud.

Problems with this post:

1.) Joe Staley is NOT a 1st round pick. While we probably won't be picking high enough to pick Joe Thomas, Levi Brown and Sam Baker are much better than Staley. One (or both) will be there when we pick.

2.) We won't sign Dwight Freeney. Honestly, i'd be shocked if Indy let him get away. Even if they did, we wouldn't shell out the type of money it would cost when we have Schobel and Hargrove and problems much worse than DE.

3.) Brian Leonard is not the type of FB we need on this team. He's a "playmaking" FB, not a great blocker.

4.) We aren't doing anything to the DT position?!

5.) We aren't doing anything to do the TE position?!

6.) Same WR's?!

I do like the Floyd Womack signing though.

I think Josh Reed has earned a roster spot. Also I really don't think we need Freeney, he's a big money sack specialist that takes himself out of too many plays by just running downfield. Also, teams have been able to successfully game plan for him... he's no longer the most productive DE on the Colts.

I agree, Reed has earned himself a place on our roster. He's one of the best blocking WR's in the league and has proven himself a viable option in the clutch. Is he starter? No. But he's a good option at 3 or 4.

However, someone needs to be brought in to better compliment Evans. When I look at Price, Parrish, and Reed I see three guys who are #3's on most rosters. We don't have another starting WR yet.

And there's the "small" problem that he is predicted to be a 1st round pick, and won't even sniff the 3rd round like in this guy's mock.

1st round?

Where do you see that? He'll be a Day 1 pick for sure and probably a 2nd rounder. But I think it's more plausible to see him go in the 3rd than it is the 1st.

I see you've changed the pick from Thomas to Levi Brown.  Well, Brown is more of a RT prospect and won't be a top 10 pick.

Who says we'd have a top 10 pick? It's too early to say something like that.

And honestly, I have a feeling that Peters will be moved to LT and Brad Butler will take over RT. Thus, we'd need just a Guard.

At his listed height and weight, Butler appears to be lighter than a proto-typical RT. Also, Peters is really coming along well on that side.

I am thinking that the draft is THE way to go for a LT. Jmo.

Fine, it might be top 15. Whatever. Still too early for a RT prospect.

As for Brad Butler as the starting RT and just needing a guard, bwahahahahhaha.
