FIRE MARV

But, but, Marv is a walking toxic atmosphere.

guess you missed the press conference where marv left open the possibility he would name himself head coach. he over stepped his boundaries so much wilson had to shut him down as soon as it was his turn to speak stating "there's no chance levy will be head coach."

marv was brought in to baby sit mularkey who's now gone.  it makes sense that marv would be a liability to a seasoned competent coach like sherman.  seems like there's signs this is in fact the case.  marv's expanded role beyond GM responsibilities will cramp any good coach they can bring in -- for the good of the team, admit marv's not necessary in light of recent events, pay him some reduced compensation and keep him as a "special consultant" or something, but by all means do whats right for the team and lose the guy.

Who do you want as the Bills GM?

what does that have to do anything? it was something that levy was considering, and didn't rule out. then he and wilson came back with a mutual agreement and it was a success. that just proves, or supports that they are working together and they will produce a team effort. btw, what did you think about my other post? you seem to have avoided it...

Your timeline here is botched. ML failing to emphatically deny he was a candidate to replace MM as head coach, immediately after RW had just emphatically denied the same, cannot possibly have caused the purely speculated and so-called "toxic environment" that further caused MM to decide to quit in the days before that very press conference.

Actually, Marv cleared up any confusion with the media very quickly -- that he wasn't going to be HC of the Buffalo Bills. Much ado about nothing.

What? You believe in time travel?

It is impossible for an event that occurs later in time to cause an event that happened before it in time. Impossible. Disagree completely all you want, it doesn't change the laws of physics.

Marv may or may not be a walking "toxic situation". Has Mularkey come out and said that? Has anyone? Until someone does, it is speculation by definition.

I think that Marv making it to the HOF had totally gotten to his head, inflated his ego.

yeah good catch. seems like most people on this board are stuck in the past. as in people never change. to them TO will always be a bad guy no matter and marv will always been a humble no matter what he does.

way to go marv, go against the owner that wanted to bring in a guy with a much better record than jauron. unreal, thanks to marv we have a coach fresh out of the most disgraced franchise in the league in detroit. pathetic

Looking at today's Jauron hire, it seems you've been proven right.

funny how so many articles on the hire site marv's ego in going w/ the guy who's the fellow ivy-leaguer! nothing to do w/ marv's ego, huh?

It seems rather obvious to me that you don't fully understand the Yale-Harvard rivalry.

My dad would bend over backwards to help out a fellow Yale alumn, a Harvard alumn, not so much.

In terms you might better appreciate, what you're claiming is that a Bills coach is giving pointers to a Dolphins coach during halftime because both are chasing the Pats in the AFC East.

Besides, if it was all about Marv's ego, he would have hired somebody who wasn't particularly intelligent, not a coach who appears to be pretty sharp, wouldn't he?

On that particular tack, you're grasping at straws.

baloney. the ivy league guys in the nfl are few and far between and in the case of an old-timer like marv he feels the need to stick together. and by all accounts sherman had the far greater personal presence and dynamic interview than jauron, so much so wilson was sold on him. it was marv who kept resisting and likely twisting, so now we're stuck with "marv and dick" show, a match made in the mess of the miami meltdown.
