Anybody hear Jeff Bostic?

Recommended Posts

He said "I don't understand why anyone would live in Buffalo." during the 3rd quarter of the game. He had a nice chuckle at our expense as well. Anybody else hear that on Westwood One?

I know many of us say that privately, but that doesn't mean a broadcaster from NC should say it on national radio. Especially one who bankrupted a huge construction company and stiffed subcontractors until they brought him to court to force involuntary bankruptcy. Mmmmm...fraud.

http://www.bizjournals.com/triad/stories/2.../10/story2.html YES it is the same Jeff Bostic, I read about 10 articles to check.

i had a good time e-mailing his boss, the Bills, the mayor, the visitors bureau, the business partnership today and him today. it was rather fun. I think his e-mail is jeff_bostic@westwoodone.com I sent an e-mail there and it didn't come back, the VP of sports programming is definetly chris_castleberry@westwoodone.com

enjoy and flame on. :D

Whoops, well I just googled him and it turns out he was one of the Center of the old Hogs that beat us up pretty good in Super Bowl XXVI.

Is he one of those announcers that sounds fake? I know there is a lot, but on Westwood One they have one guy who sounds so fake it makes me cry for sports announcers.

I can only hope that people realize that Cleveland, and Philly have been the punch line of bad city jokes in the past ten years also. They were able to turn things around. I keep an eye as to whats happening in Buffalo and I think it's safe to say these are the worst of the worst of times yet their seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. In the year 2007 their are key construction projects downtown and waterfront that could change a lot for Buffalo. They are Pro Bass, ECC, casino, and about 4 million a year for 50 years for waterfront projects that Higgins got from Niagara power which is the best news in a long time. I know I'm pessimistic like most of you but things MIGHT change. Let's see.

I agree - and my recent experience in Buffalo tells me there is a lot to like about what is happening in Buffalo and also that the city has a lot to offer. If some of the new retail/entertainment can draw people in and create jobs it's great - also - I'd like to see a little more money from the state for urban regeneration projects, and historic renewals. I noticed Governer Pataki's name on the placard outside the Frank Lloyd-Wright Martin House up near Delaware park, so it may have started already.

that is exciting news, can you let the folks 70 miles to the east know? The Cuse needs a couple bones also, and not the kind of Bone Bob Congel and the Destiny folks are using!

I did not hear the broadcast so I do not know what the context of the staement was: But after sitting in the stands and freezing my a$$ off, is it just possible that he was freezing his a$$ off as well and wondered out loud "Why would anyone want to live in Buffalo?"

I don't know, but I'm guessing there are a few Buffalonians, not to mention folks in Philly, Cleveland, etc. have walked out of there front door on a cold winter morning or two and wondered the same thing Bostic expressed.

Not to mention that the poor folks of Buffalo have a really bad football team.

Every year someone says this and every year people get their panties in a wad.

Hell, I don't know why people would want to live in Buffalo either. I'm from Rochester though so who am I to talk. I know people from Buffalo that wouldn't want to live here. I know people who wouldn't want to live in Hawaii. Who gives a $hi%.

I'm a cold weather person. I grew up in Western New York moved to Ohio and have spent the second part of my life here. I have no idea how people can live in the south. My AC bill would have me filing for bankruptcy. I like summer but working in heat sucks. By the time September rolls around I'm ready for cold weather. I'm sure plenty of people think that's strange but it's the honest truth. How people can deal with the humidity of Miami or Atlanta year round is beyond me.
