Of course the guy cares about winning, his job depends on it. Why? Because the only way to ensure that a team consistently makes money is to win. A team that is a perennial loser isn't going to keep packing the stadium, sell box seats, or sell merchandise. If the Bills continue their losing ways for much longer it will hit them in the pockets and TD knows this. People make it sound like he's purposely signing guys like Milloy and Vincent so they can sell tickets instead of going out there and getting guys he thinks will help him win. While it's true that signing these "name" guys will help sell some seats (in the short term) the Bills would be financially better off by winning and TD knows this. He's making these moves because he thinks they will help the team win, period. Granted, it hasn't worked out that way but to think he's not trying to win is just lunacy. Pluse he only played less than 60% of the snaps. Our problem on the D, appears to be that we've got real old real quick, like Adams and Milloy, and to a lesser degree Vincent. Losing Spikes just compounded things. But I'm glad Williams is gone as it looks like D will need ot be rebuilt and having him here would take up more $$ that can be spent elsewhere. Football comes down to good blocking and good tackling and not doing wow-wee stuff so if you are successful, so you can crow like a child with its first controlled bowel movement, and when one is not, tears and pouts... Judging by the stats, he is having a better year this year than last. 508717[/snapback] It's this simple: He was asking for more than he's worth to any team who has a two gap guy who can give you 20 plays on Sunday. We could have made it all work by signing a Keith Traylor type to play to Sam's side. The problem we had was the team assuming, contrary to every single play we've ever seen him involved in, that REdwards would be a good complement.
