And as much as he may or may not stink, the SF defense is giving up 5.5 yards per rush and 12 yards per pass attempt. Somehow, I doubt that's his fault... The 49ers are a dog chasing it's tail. 483184[/snapback] Actually, I'm somewhat confident Alex Smith will be a success in this league...I'm just not sure what team he'll be one with... because it sure looks like the 49ers franchise can't compete anymore unless they're allowed to cheat the salary cap . The Draft expert on NFL network had them about equal and said JP Losman would have been the #1 pick over SMith.
