I disagree. If that move gets to a Super Bowl championship, than it's all worth it. I don't care if in 2-3 years the team sucks and back to the drought era.

Look at the Eagles, in 3 seasons from now they are going to be a bad football team due to all the big void contracts in 2028 and beyond. They won a Super Bowl so it was worth it.

Not to mention it makes it easier to decide on a reset year.

Cap is fugged? Got bad deals with big dead cap? Cut em. Commit to the down year fully.... come into next season refreshed and able to restock the shelves with better draft capital..... start running the cap up 5-6,7 years out again 🤷‍♂️

I would love getting Jefferson, but it’s not fair to compare him to Elam and Kincaid. Yes, those are two recent firsts, but Jefferson was a late first round pick, it could easily be a home run. You just don’t know, and it’s disingenuous to dismiss two first round picks.

That being said, I’d be ok going and getting Jefferson. He is a no doubt star and someone much better than even Diggs was. Allen woukd thrive with him.

Fair point,  jt Bean had been abysmal in the 1st.

Yes. He has been bad in the first, but he genuinely takes very talented players. When he hits on them like Allen, that’s how we can get a star or super star, which we need.

agree.  And the Rams are a SB pick now only a few years after going all in by way of trades.

I just prefer to trade for one at this point.

I'm not sure who the starting receivers will be for us come playoffs.  Shakir is the only stud and we can argue about who the duds are.

But I hope Joe's basic premise is right.  Our WR room isn't good but maybe the right trio elevates us into the "Not Bad" category.

Game after game I keep waiting for Shakir to catch a short pass (past the LOS!) and do his human pinball to the end zone.   He's either hurt, lost something along the way, or is the sole WR focus on the defense and can't succeed that way.    Where do find another Puca?
