It's becoming a routine excuse every year. One that both is used to explain why we fall short and why we don't need to significantly upgrade the roster. "We were like, 4-5 plays away and we were missing so many guys. If they were there it's a different story"

Beane acts like we are the only team missing key players year after year. And he hasn't learned that we WILL have injuries every year and have to have real depth to absorb it. His answer is to sign players on the cheap that used to be good here half a decade ago.

I'm really exhausted with the injury excuses year after year.

I guess I’d say that while every team has injuries, some teams really do have it worse than others and it legitimately explains won-loss records. Sure, it’s an excuse at times, but at other times it’s just a reasonable explanation.

Except, it's really not more times than not.

I will concede the point of a team loses their starting QB it can derail a season. If a team is missing a couple OL guys or a few from their secondary or so on there are ways to make up for that. It's what almost every other team in the NFL does. It happens multiple times a year to most teams. Yet somehow other teams can overcome.

The Bills don't look like they alter plans much when missing a starter. They just expect to plug in a backup and play. That's often not how it works.

Good coaching staffs adjust their plans according to guys that are missing. The Bills simply do not for the most part.

If they can somehow get past the Steelers things will be better.   I just don't know how that happens exactly.   Run the ball 40 times?

Will they? You don’t think this team will have injuries today and the rest of the year?

Injuries have been the only consistent performer for the Bills this season.

It’s not just the injuries to key players. It’s the lack of gameplanning taking into account those injuries on both offense and D. If we just protect with 5 men with no chipping when we have 2 starting OTs out, Brady shouldn’t get back on the plane.

We need a gameplan that emphasizes Josh getting rid of the ball quickly, which he’s been very reluctant to do this year. That doesn’t mean spamming mesh 6 straight times while our tackles get smoked and Josh gets battered.

How about some RB screens? How about a draw or 2? Quick slant?

You know, Football 101 basic crap to slow down a pass rush. Is that too much to ask?

Im expecting an ultra-conservative game-plan by both coaches with maybe some grey zone 4th down attempts. A lot of waiting for the other team to make a mistake.

could be wrong but that’s what I’m expecting.

1st half is showing you're correct!
