That war left a million people dead, including American sons and daughters, and many more catastrophically injured. Lives were changes, families shattered. You are allowed an arm's length view and the perspective that comes with it...you can sit and drink a Timmy Ho's, contemplate your time at University, plan a holiday. You use the term 'zed', your money is artistic, beautiful and colorful...and your painted ladies dance in the same suits as they were born in often artistic, beautiful and colorful. I ask you, NB, as a casual observer, was Dick Cheney a patriot? Yes, in his mind for sure, but in my mind was questionable. Did Haliburton make billions? Did they convince America about WMD, yes. Did they use 9 11 as a patriotic song, yes. Was Saddam guilty, not about what they said. Cheney and many got richer, the military complex got richer. Canada actually refused to send in troops. The war was used for political reasons. For much of his life, yes, then manipulated for $$$ so, in the end no. But then lots of supporters were not as well. Regime change is not necessarily patriotic. But the balance...they had congressional approval. Did he love his country, with out question. He did follow the constitution and the law. So today's prez gets richer, family gets richer from people he cozied up to like Saudis, he creates wars with Venezuela, has ties to Russia. Ignores historic laws, No Congressional approval, works for less than half the citizens, disrespect his citizens and the constitution. So no.

So you’re saying no, he wasn’t a patriot from your perspective? You agree with Trump?

Yes, from that perspective, it was a phoney war, but neither are the guys that attacked congress. All those that took action in Desert Storm are patriots. Neither is trump, but I would suggest Pence is. One does not need a perfect life to be a patriot, but doing you best fir the country and ALL citizens is compulsory. Vindictive habits towards citizens is definitely not a trait of a patriot.

Joe Biden referred to Trump supporters as garbage. Hillary Clinton called them deplorables. Many might think that indicates vindictiveness. What does that do for the patriotism score for these two people? You seem to have set yourself up as the arbiter, so I would be interested in hearing what you have to say about these two fine citizens. 1

Do I? i’m sorry if my questions to Niagara Bill upset you. That might have more to do with your love affair with Democrat politicians than the questions themselves. Just a guess.. I’m merely trying to figure out how NB determines who is a good patriot and who is not. thanks for checking in and don’t forget to smash the like button. Have a nice day. I’m the guy with an obsession? Why don’t you start by acknowledging what Hillary actually said? Yes, it was stupid and disrespectful. But there’s more to the quote than that to which you alluded. And, snowflakes like you take it out of context because it fits with your performative outrage.
