Good for him. Livers are hard to get. So much so that your liver function scores have to be atrocious just to be on the list. Many don't make it to transplant. God speed.

Godspeed Bernie!  I've yet to run into him, but I live between his farm and business location in Chagrin Falls.  My son said hi to him at a local restaurant.  Very friendly and gracious, though that's no surprise to anyone who had even a fan's exposure on TV.  Always a class act, including while he played, so tragic his struggles with substance abuse but seems in a good place now.
