And if he can’t, then Forrest and Hancock may get their chance. We all know what Hamlin is. Good guy. Hard worker. But not an NFL athlete. A safety room of Rapp Bishop Forrest and Hancock should hopefully be very good. There seems to be some kind of misconception about Hamlin that he is a poor athlete and really slow. That's just not true. He is an average to above average athlete at safety. He has an RAS of a 7, which means he is above average. His composite speed grade is good. He is 100% an NFL caliber athlete. People need to stop saying he isn't, because it is false. Does that mean he should be the starter? Not at all. He is a good depth safety with starting experience, though. Not a bad guy to have on the roster. Bishop is an elite athlete though. 3 Quote

And you can clearly tell he is not an NFL athlete. He is always slow getting to the party. There is no suddenness or twitchiness to his movements in the slightest. He has a lanky build, which usually does not lend itself to being a good DB. But I am not his position coach or head coach. So I won't be making the decision on if he makes the roster or not. But based off of his performance last year, I would look elsewhere. 1 Quote
