Yes, it’s a cult. This isn’t new. It’s the literal dictionary definition of a cult. You are unable to think for yourself. Now ***** off and order some Trump Cologne to go with your Trump sneakers.

You're overdue for your booster.

This is cool but let’s remember Biden was  calling the likes of Atticus Finch, Teddy Roosevelt, and Margaret Thatcher when he was in office.  His calls were placed between 9:30 and 10:10am.

Trump 2.0 is a Wrecking Ball. And he’s wrecking the right stuff.

Right after the election, I wrote that Trump was going to come in like a wrecking ball.        https://instapundit.substack.com/p/like-a-wrecking-ball

Boy, did I nail it, or what?

With the passage of the “Big Beautiful Bill,” Trump has crushed a lot of Democratic dreams and plans, and — as I predicted right after the election — he’s also starting to lay an institutional foundation for Republicans.

The Big, Beautiful Bill is more big than it is beautiful, but the only way to get the changes that were needed through without a filibuster was through reconciliation. And the changes got through, and that is beautiful. It’s just the reality of our system that to get things done you have to buy votes.

Elon Musk, Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, et al. don’t like that, and they’re not exactly wrong not to like it, they’re just wrong to think that we could have gotten what was needed any other way.

{snip}

My suggestion for the GOP is that they now start hitting the Democrats with single-subject bills that will have to be voted up or down, and that will be very politically expensive for Democrats to oppose, when they’re clearly presented without a lot of extraneous legislative cover. Will some of them be filibustered? Maybe, but if they are, the Democrats look bad. (And if they’re really important bills, the GOP can drop the filibuster with a majority, as the Democrats did already.)

At any rate, as we go into the Fourth of July weekend, remember that it’s not just a calendar date, but that it’s really Independence Day. And especially this year.

'This Is Embarrassing'! The Hill Serves Up an Alternate Universe Hot Take About Trump's Failures

In 2017, after Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump in the election that made her even angrier and more bitter to this day, depressed libs came up with a planet called "Earth 2" and it was a magical place where Hillary was the president.

A form of that sad bit of cope takes place to this very day. The Hill served up an op-ed that caters to the trembling TDS crowd and it's another alternate universe doozy, especially considering what we've seen over the last couple of weeks:

And of course yesterday Trump signed the "Big Beautiful Bill." The only "failures" we've seen are all happening on the Left.

The Dems have been trying to push some form of their "Trump voters are regretting their support" BS for a few months now and it simply doesn't conform with reality.

OPEC+ to boost oil production by 548,000 barrels per day in August

by Associated Press

Eight members of the OPEC+ alliance of oil exporting countries say they will boost production by 548,000 barrels per day in August in a move that could further reduce gas prices this year.

The group that includes Saudi Arabia and Russia made the decision at a virtual meeting Saturday. They cited a “steady global economic outlook” and low oil inventories. Oil prices spiked sharply last month during the bloody, 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran but then tumbled back down as the U.S. helped broker a peace deal after dropping bombs on three of Iran’s key nuclear sites.

A Very Consequential Two Weeks for Donald Trump’s Presidency.

SALENA ZITO

FTA:

“In the past 12 days, some of the most consequential decisions in American history, those that will affect generations and leave a substantial impact on our culture, economy and political alignment, have been made either by President Donald Trump or because of him.

But they have been largely either downplayed or not fully analyzed in terms of how they all connect.”

The U.S. Steel deal between the iconic American company and Nippon Steel happened because of Trump's ability to apply pressure through negotiations that sometimes bewildered everyone involved. But they led to the literal reversal of fortune of an industry, from the additional supply industries that include mechanics, construction workers, transportation systems such as railways, and energy.

The 50% tariffs Trump announced the day he visited the U.S. Steel plant in West Mifflin were also seen by American manufacturers as a signal that Trump was committed to revitalizing American steel mills. It also signaled an overall mandate to reshore manufacturing in the country.

While much of Wall Street warned that the tariffs would cause a widespread recession, a former critic of the tariffs, Torsten Slok, chief economist at Apollo Global Management, did an about-face and wondered if Trump outsmarted everyone, laying out a scenario that keeps tariffs well below Trump's most aggressive rates long enough to ease uncertainty.

That a steelworker or a welder working for a defense contractor would watch what happened to Iran's nuclear program and feel a part of it is a nuance in American journalism that is often missed.

Sen. David McCormick (R-Pa.) told the Washington Examiner that it is an integrated story, both in terms of the consequences of those decisions, bolstering our economic capability and our independence.

"But it's a confidence in leadership story too," McCormick said.

McCormick, who took office in January after winning against an entrenched Democrat few thought he could defeat, said the nuance of how intertwined moments such as these are is often missed.

"These are reinforcing themes," he said.
