So things seem to have changed. I agree, there is some luck involved, but QB in the modern NFL holds a more significant role in the outcome of the game. The 90’s were a different era with guys like Marino and Kelly. Those players won a lot of games, but it was also possible to neutralize them in the playoffs. That was an era where defense could rough up the passer, and play very physically against receivers. Modern rules are setup to help QB’s succeed. The NFL wants elite QB’s in the Super Bowl. In todays NFL, it’s fair to ask how great a QB is if they don’t have a title. I don’t mean this as a comment on Josh, as he has time, but more about determining greatness when looking back at a career.
