muppy Posted July 1, 2022 Share Posted July 1, 2022 (edited) well I saw the movie Elvis today. I have quite a few thoughts about it. I learned a lot about Elvis that I didn't know. 1. Elvis was a total Mommas boy..He Loved his Momma. She was super supportive super down to earth salt of the earth type person. 2. basically forced into military service or be arrested for lewd conduct 3. His manager the Colonel Parker was a manipulative , sneaky greedy thieving lying u know what. Very complex character. Lots of twists and turns in that guys story 4. Priscillas character was sweet as pie and a hottie to boot. Loved her wardrobe. 5. I think the arc and flow of the movie was done in a smooth cool way. You'll have to see it to judge yourself. Childhood on up were covered until he passed 6. One thing they continually did was intermix real Elvis clips onto the actors acting ...one second would be the actor a blink later elvis, back to the actor over and over and over again. I tried hard to identify which was which person but at times the switcheroo was so well done its was really hard to tell. I would say this movie should defintely win an editing Oscar I'd give it 4.5 Stars out of 5.
