The FACT is Capitol Police held open doors and even escorted the "Q Anon shaman" to the Senate chamber. The FACT is there were photographers and videographers all over the Capitol building. But the DOJ has charged independent and conservative journalists who were there reporting on it. The FACT is Donald Trump is on record wanting 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the electoral college challenges. The FACT is Speaker Pelosi refused to send National Guard troops even after former Capitol Police Chief requested them multiple times. J6 was a SET-UP. Before the trials began, the J6 prosecutors decided that the most serious charge they could get a conviction for was an obstruction charge. The prosecutors were alleging that the rioters obstructed an official proceeding of Congress, making the crime eligible to be prosecuted for anyone who "corruptly alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or otherr object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or (2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so.” There are two points of contention for defense attorneys. I said bc you are all misrepresenting the facts—Fanone and Ofc Gonell clearly embellished if not straight up lied about their injuries. I asked him why they were angry at the wrong people. Why no anger or criticism of Nancy Pelosi? Instead of blasting her for failing to protect the Capitol, you guys are hugging her and accepting medals? He sort of agreed with that. The discussion ended cordially and I am grateful he engaged bc most will not. But the falsehoods perpetuated by J6 propagandists are destroying lives. That’s why it’s absolutely necessary we keep pushing and exposing the truth.
