perhaps you should give it more thought.

I don't need to give it more thought.

The issue I commented on was China going to the mat with Russia in a Russian instigated NATO aggression.

Russia is desperate for money, so aligning with China is in their interest, but the China potential against Taiwan is a completely different issue.

You said “tag team” I believe. This isn’t purely economic support but rather military support. I’d characterize that as tag teaming, not that I watch much wrestling.

“Interest in being a tag team, military partner with them.”

This is not an opinion or a criticism of anyone's views, but it is an observation, and I have some experience in matters military.

For China to assist Russia in Europe in any direct military component, they would have to deploy.

They have never demonstrated that ability and as I am aware, are not capable yet.

I can't see them deploying fighters or ground troops to Europe, and they can't project air power over any distance yet.

They have a carrier capability, but they are conventional powered and depend on refueling at sea every week or so. That is a huge vulnerability, and they have never demonstrated any ability to conduct effective carrier operation.

So.....Net, I don't see the ability or desire to isolate themselves further from international trade by assisting a Russian aggression against NATO.

nyet.  you responded to this

"The tightening alliance of Russia and China makes this threat worrisome.  They are both provoking  potential conflict seemingly in support of their imperialistic goals.  Perhaps they believe that together they could win.  Or maybe they're just seeing how far they can go without the US responding."

no where did I say fighters or ground troops to Europe by China.  I talked about imperialistic goals and had mentioned their desire for Taiwan.  If Russia gets away with their imperialistic goals in Ukraine and Europe without a successful rebuke, they will be embolden in that effort.  That's likely why they are supporting Russia against Ukraine  You're arguing against something that wasn't stated therefore you used a ...

Is there something wrong with you?

I never said you said anything, in fact I specifically mentioned that it was not a criticism of anyone's view.

I stated, quite clearly, that it was an observation.

You have a problem. You are confrontational where there is no similar confrontation.

Nope. Were you debating someone else when you quoted my above comments on China and Russia?

“I really doubt China has any interest in being a tag team, military partner with them.

I think that thought is silly. “

This is the statement I’m debating with you. China is currently a military partner with Russia. Do you disagree with the WSJ article I linked?  Then refute it.

Not letting you reframe the argument. Nothing wrong with me. I enjoy debate and winning.

Good Lord. I am not debating anything with you, and I'm not going to be directed by some goof on this site to do homework.

What I stand by is that I don't think China will support, militarily, any Russian adventure against NATO in Europe.

Maybe verbally, but not militarily.

That has nothing to do with you, as I am quite sure you have no idea.

Either way, I am not going to do homework that you direct.

At this point, Ukraine really doesn't need Tomahawks, but I'm sure they'd be happy to have them. They've already got the capability thanks to domestically produced long range drones and domestically produced cruise missiles.

Interesting piece of posturing though.
