Journey's End for Bruno the Bear

Recommended Posts

Bruno the Bear's 450-mile-ish 4 state trek has come to an end NW of St Louis.

Bruno has gained a social media following, with video posted of him swimming the Mississippi, crossing a highway, out in a farm field

Black bears are not known to be present in NE MO, so it's believed to be the same bear.

But, as he neared St Louis, concern increased that he wouldn't make it outta there.  In particular, a bear who made a trek N into Jefferson County a year or two ago was shot and killed.

Bruno was tranquilized and relocated to what's considered a safe bear habitat

Hopefully he will find whatever he was looking for - a lady bear?  his own territory?  and live happily ever after.
