He had sold a car and that was the 10% down payment the buyer was to advance. I asked what kind of car was worth a half million dollars. He responded “it’s an antique racing Jag, kind of rare and famous. But if I thought it was worth a half million, I’d have kept the car.” Turns out this guy had dozens of similar cars stored all over for safety/insurance reasons.
