Cap Management and Filling Needs

The Bills should not over spend just to fill needs. There are no #1 WR in free agency. So do not pay anyone #1 WR money. There are quality OL that would be an upgrade to the roster but I would not overpay for anyone. I would rather get 5 or 6 good players who are an upgrade then 3 or 4 players who are overpaid "splash" players.

What if there are not any  'elite" WR, CB, Edge, LT,etc....

Good point...."elite' is subjective. How about 'top rung" or "top level"? "#1 wide receiver ",etc.?  It's important the Beane be able to 'buy low" , get good value on players with upside.Top WR could  cost 12-15 annually;6-8 for a 'top" TE;  12-14 for LT: 8-10 for a RT: G 10-12: 7-9 for a C; 7-9 for a CB (#2?)etc. Bean wont have to shell out 15-20 or more on a QB. Plus rework some existing deals. I see him improving depth and not making a huge splash at any one position. My point is i dont think it will be difficult to s pend that money (wisely)
