Jeff Reed from Pitt

If TD would like to upgrade the position, Reed is available. If he can't decide whether to use his second round pick on Nugent (which I personally think is crazy), this would be a good option. Young, cheap and consistant. Thought?

Why not a 2nd round for Nugent?

He could be here for the next 12 years and we all know the Bills need a kicker, but honestly I think he will be gone by the time we pick in the 2nd round.

Nobody is a sure thing but he is pretty Damn Good!

You know, I may got shot for saying this...but whats the harm in bringing Steve Christie back?

*ducks*

I agree with you. Even at his age, he is still worth a look to fill a hole for a year. Plus, he used to come into the restraunt I worked at in Williamsville all the time, and he was a class act.

He is restricted. My bad. Jay Feely from Atlanta is available. Something there?

I know Nugent is something special, but a 2nd round pick? As far as I am concerned, a kicker or punter shouldnt really be drafted. It seems like a waste of a pick for a "specialist" who plays so little.

Did Someone say Ted Nugent???

And now lining up for a 44 yarder, a man with a loincloth and a bow and arrow? Think of it - if he has the aim to hunt deer several yards away, just think of his kick accuracy!

It all depends on what we do with the rest of the offseason. If we manage to get an LT and LG, then I say we should definitely pick up Nugent if he's there in the 2nd round. However, I'm guessing the best we can do is pick up a Tackle, so what we may have to do is draft a guard in the 2nd round to compete with Tucker.

I want to dump Lindell as much as anyone else, but we have much more serious concerns before a kicker, including OL (both starting and bench guys), a CB if we can't resign Nate, an LB if we can't resign London, etc., so a kicker is not a top priority IMO. Certainly not worth our 2nd round pick.

I disagree, past our O-Line, kicker is the most important area of upgrade. If we go into next season with Lindell, we will lose more games because of his inability to kick consistently. Honestly, if we could just bring in a veteran to compete in training camp, I'd be content. But we cant let Lindell have the job by default.
