Why the Browns are in such bad shape

They are looking at moving the #1 overall pick of the 2000 draft, Courtney Brown to LB in a 3-4 scheme and the #3 overall pick of the 2001 draft Gerald Warren has been given the ok to seek a trade.

 

How do you fug up top 3 picks in back to back years?  ;)

They Could have had a top QB prospect in the draft last year, instead they go with Garcia - nice move.

Did he get injured or did he just suck so bad that no one else took a chance on him? I knew GB was going to or did pick him up but were the hell is he now?

Hard to say. It's inherently stupid to pick a franchise QB and then play him behind a terrible OLine, with VERY average or below skill position players. The Browns were basically the model of how NOT to bring along a young QB.

Cleveland was screwed by the league. They didn't have an organization until 8 mo's before the season started. The NFL used Cleveland as leverage for the other teams trying to get new stadiums, and other tax subsidized goodies.
