Orchard Park, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills got their man.

The story of Rex Ryan in Buffalo began on Sunday morning when news broke that Ryan and the Bills had agreed on a contract to make him the next head coach of the Bills. At some point, Ryan will be introduced officially. He'll win over fans with his wit and confident personality. But when the dust settles, Ryan will have to get to work.

» Hiring of Rex Ryan makes sense for everyone involved

The Bills aren't in a much better situation than the Jets team that fired Ryan a few weeks ago. There are holes on the roster, and Ryan will have a lot of say in determining the direction and tone this organization takes.

Here are some of the top items that should be on Ryan's to-do list. SNIP

Item #1 and #4 should have been settled during the interview process. If not, something is badly wrong.

#2 should be Whaley's job (with input from Ryan)

I am sure there were discussions about this (Regarding 1 and 4) but I doubt anything is finalized prior to him signing a deal

yup, & #1 isn't Ryan's decision to make, the defense already has a direction (they're damn good) & #5 is so elementary that it doesn't need to be mentioned.

Ryan needs a solid OC, and if reports are correct that is narrowed down to 1 or possibly 2 guys.

Not the best top 5 I've ever seen.
