I think that Schwartz signed a three year deal with the Bills when he came aboard. He was owed 12m from the Lions I think, or something like that. The Jokeman Posted January 3, 2015 Share Posted January 3, 2015 No. I think the story that Marrone went to Pegula asking for an extension/more power for he and his assistants that had contracts ending out after 2015 and them saying no caused him to quit makes perfect sense. As Marrone probably saw it as writing on the wall that he'd be as good as gone after next year if he couldn't get us into the playoffs next season which looks difficult with no QB in place. So now Marrone will likely land somewhere else and have at least 2 more years of job security which is more than he had here. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
